Sounds like your coils aren't getting enough power honestly, this should never be the case :p I can build a 1.5Ω dual coil and fire it at 15 watts on my vamo... Not the best vape in the world but it blows any clearo out of the water in terms of flavor and vapor. Make that a 1.5Ω single coil and it's even better. I really don't like dual coils under 20 watts =/

That is exactly what I had, a 1.3-1.5 ohm single coil on the IGO-W. I say had because I did not buy and kanthal so I need to purchase more to make another coil. What do you use, organic cotton? The IGO-W came with some fabric, but I did not get a chance to try it.

When I used my IGO-W, I was using organic cotton. Now I'm using Rayon, but I've moved on to a better dripper (Well, better for me, the Origen V2 holds ~1ml of juice in the wells so I don't gotta drip as often) and haven't built my IGO using rayon.

As for the fabric the IGO-W comes with, I'm guessing you're talking about the silica. Most people prefer cotton, so don't feel bad about not getting to try it :p I personally hate silica, I'd only use it in a situation where I didn't have stainless steel mesh or ceramic wick available and for whatever reason needed the ability to dry burn coils.

Now all 3...the 30 DNA, Mech, and VV!!!!

Seriously though, looks like I am getting most serious about a 30w mod....probably the Cloupor CANA Clone.

Cana Modz Clone

Unless I'm missing something!!!!

If it was me, I'd dish out the extra $30 to get a 50 watt device rather than a 30... That's what I plan on doing at least, since I feel a 50 watt device will help me get the power I'm used to from my mech on a regulated device with sub ohm coils (my adv is generally somewhere between .4 and .6Ω, .4Ω on a fresh battery in a perfect world without voltage drop is 44 watts)... But that's a bit over your budget :p

Typically not :D Normally it's used in genesis style atomizers, but some people like the crisp taste you get from mesh and will put it in just about everything. Personally I only use it in gennys, though I have been thinking about throwing some in my origen since it's made for vertical coils.

Ok first I'd make sure you know ohms law, have at least an ohm meter, know battery safety which includes knowing which to use which does not include any battery with fire in the name and have the discipline to use the lock on a mech. With a mech you have no protection unless you buy a fuse. Make a mistake say a build that is to low or you have a short you can have a bad day. If you get a mech so far the best small one i have is a Hcigar nemesis. Enjoy safe vaping. FYI I get up on a soap box because of a promise i made. LOL

Just trust me don't buy it from Elev8, nothing in particular wrong with them, but I did order 2 at the beginning of the month it's been 20 days and it still hasn't shipped. Good news is Mt Baker Vapor started to carry these recently, same manufacturer same mod IN STOCK! That one week wait time they have on their site is a bit of a fib, at least in my experience.

Kidney Puncher has them in red. I think they're a bit higher priced tho but OTOH you can take their word to the bank.

PS, I think the version they sell is the best available too. Check the innards...

I appreciate all of your help. I been going back and forth all night, as its 330 am here in Philly. I need to purchase tomorrow bc I am going away for a few weeks and having it shipped to my location.

I'm pretty sure I am going with the Sentinel M16 Mech. I would RATHER have the CANA 30 Clone, but I can pick up the Sentinel for under $30, and after batt's, charger, ohm reader, still be around $60-70, which is just what the CANA costs.

Unless someone has a big reason to not go with it, thats the final decision, although like I said I rather go with the CANA, but money is a bit tight right now. That is also the reason I am going with the Sentinel over one of the VV's, mainly because of price, but still I think Ill be happy.

You guys are awesome thanks for all your help.

Will my Clearomizers work well with the mechanical? I don't want to purchase it, but it only really be functional daily with my rba, because I still intend on using my Clearo's the majority of the time, unless eventually I step up to something like the kayfun and go head over heals.

If the Mech does not support the clearo's too well, then I will just have to spring for the Clouper 30, or the Sigelei or Smoktek ZMAX

Thanks again guys

ok ok, so thinking more and more into it, I will get more use and functionability out of vv/vw or box mod than a mech. You can do everything on the 15W VV or box mod you can do on the mechanical EXCEPT sub ohm, but the same can not be said vice versa...you are very limited with the mechanical on my clearomizers, which I, for right now, will be using 75% of the time.

So now back to the drawing boards. I was all set-up, batteries, charger and mech for $50-60. Problem now is that is not possible with a VV or box mod.

Most economical mod I see is the Clouper at $70, and 15W VV $75-$80 for the Smoktek or Sigelei Zmax. The cheaper ones, like the VAMO and the Tesla are, for me, too large and bulky....and I dont think look very good.

Any other options? I hate to be over $100 with everything, may just say screw it.....

As Always, thank you

The IGO-W is the first RBA/RDA I bought. That is the major reason I am upgrading from my MVP2. I am not too interested in sub ohm'ing, but I'm just not happy with how the IGO-W performs. IDK if its the 1.6 ohm? I'm thinking its bc it is only a single coil and I am restricted with the MVP at only 11W, instead of a mechanical, or at least the 15W available from the VV/VW.......
