First coil! Success!

I rebuilt a head for my pro-tank. 1st try, no issues! Used a thin nail punch (smaller than the recommended size I can't recall.. 5/64?) Did 12-15 wraps with 30 g kanthal, tossed in some cotton ball and am thrilled!!!
Read 2.3 ohms, cranked up my MVP a bit....

Thanks! It does feel good. I just see soooo many posts that seem to discourage so many from doing anything, coils, diy juice, mech mods...
I know people shouldn't do these things blindfolded for the first time... But I'm thinking none of it is as hard as some people would like to believe, or act like it is.
I'm glad I finally got past my fear/doubt and jumped in.
If my mech mod blows up on me, then disregard my statements as applied to batteries!

Also, I had a super nice guy at a local shop show me his method, and you can't ask a YouTube video questions the way you can a live person!

Yeah it's always nice when someone at a local shop can assist you in making some coils or just for some information that you might need. Congrats on the first coil!

I just started building coils this week. It really is much easier than I expected. No more of those crappy 510 atty's. The taste from a 2ohm coil with a cotton wick at 11 watts is awesome. I have all these juices that I never liked that suddenly taste great in my RDA.

The normal protocol is to post pics of your coil! That way we can pick it apart and tell you all the things you did wrong!

Just a couple of months ago I was trying my first coils too! It's been a really fun journey! Congrats and good luck!
