Well, my order, a Joye 510, should be here today. I am wondering what most peoples experience when first starting is like... I smoke probably 1.5 packs a day...So do most people just forget the analogs all together? Or is there a transition period... Also I read someplace that analogs contained about 1mg nicotine per cigarette (depending on brand, mine id Salem light) And I noticed when reviewing my order from Cignot that the juices I ordered were 24mg... Is there a big taste difference in strengths?
Thanks

You will find different situations for different folks. I went from the patch to vaping after 25+ years of analogs. and have been back to analogs on 3 or 4 occasions when my hardware failed over the last year or so.

Now I make sure I keep tons of backup stuff.

Good luck and welcome aboard.

I quit the moment I got mine, and my husband had one analog the first day and one analog the second day. After that he quick completely too. We have both been smoke free for 2 months now. I have noticed that everyone is different. Some continute to smoke analogs, but less of them and some smoke for a day or two and then quit.

The first week, I cut my analog use from 40 to about 13 a day. I had a hard time learning to use the PV. I eventually went down to five analogs, then one and now most days NONE. Everyone is different. I keep some analogs around just so I don't think about the fact that I have none, that always got me to smoke more, when I was running out!!
Good luck to you, and don't ever give up if you have an analog, just jump right back on the horse!!!!

It took me about a month to wean down to 0 analogs. I immediately went from 2 packs a day (for over 40 years) to 10 analogs, then to 3 analogs, then for about 2 weeks just had to light 1 a day. Didn't smoke it but just had to light it! Just go with how you feel! If you want one...have it. If you deny yourself, you will want it more!

I tried 24 mg at the start and got sick. I went down to 18 mg for a couple of months. I must have got used to the juice, because now I'm back up to 24 mg. The 24 mg gave me slight headache for a while, though they went away.

You will notice a pretty metallic taste from the primer on the atomizer at first but please push through the break in period I had a friend want to give up on ecigs completely cause he hated the taste at first but once I egged him on to keep going he got through the primer and ended up stopping analogs completely now.

Well, perhaps not. I don't really experience a break in period. I finally agreed that excessive cleaning of the atomizer can damage/remove the delicate fiber wicking that comes from/under the atomizer bridge. Many forum efficienados say this is what caused the metallic taste. From my experience, I'm in agreement with them.

I keep a wet cartridge on the atty's I'm using and rarely clean them. This has helped a lot. I do have to clean an atty when the wicking or polyfill comes in contact with the ecig shell and shorts out the atty. Sometimes my cleaning does remove the wicking and I expect a more metallic taste until the atty dies completely.

Until I had the right charging setup, I was going back to analogs when I left myself without charged batts. After that, I've gone back to ecigs by choice, usually to see what they taste like. I've found real cigs now taste like crap. However, my most difficult time is in the morning, when I think ecigs also taste like crap. I vape Kent juice in the morning, basically because it is mild with very little taste, and still has good lung hit.

The ecig effienados claim a lot less nicotine is absorbed by the body during vaping vs. smoking. Since I've seen this, I don't compare nicotine levels between ecigs and real cigs.

Yes, I've found that there is a difference in taste and smell that depends on nicotine level. Particularly, I've found that some 24 mg juices have a similar smell to a nicotine patch when I'm refilling the carts.

And, you might want to check this out for additional 510 supplies and techniques I've found to be best practice:

I went from 2 packs a day to one pack a week with the first puff on my ecig (402 from innovapor). Stayed at one pack per week for 4 weeks, picked up some stronger juice (48 mg/ml tobacco flavor and 60 mg/ml unflavored) and now seem to be down to about 2 analogs per week.

There is definitely an learning curve with the ecig. I think there may also be an adaptation curve that depends a lot on things like personal physiology and previous smoke exposure - you gotta flush all the analog junk out.

I hope to get to zero analogs but I'm not gonna beat myself over the head if I don't get there for a while. If I were going cold turkey then even one analog and I would probably be right back up to 2 packs a day. The ecig allows me to backslide a bit without it being such a disaster.
