Hey guys,

So my DIY supplies arrived yesterday (the seller is actually an hour drive from me, so the shipment arrived the next day via standard snail mail!) and I went to town.

I only made one bottle yesterday, using TPA's RY4 double. I mixed it at 10% and put 5 drops of Ethyl Maltol in. 50/50 pg/vg, at 12mg nic... I didnt try it right away, but let it sit with the cap off overnight, and put a bit in a kanger M3 to give it a whirl... damn! This is better than the Halo Tribeca I was so anxious to order! (maybe it is, or maybe it's because I made it...who knows, but its awesome!).

This morning I wanted to try my other flavours (I got TPA RY4 double, Capellas sweet watermelon, and concentrated strawberry). I mixed it 50/50, 12mg, with 15% watermelon, 1% strawberry (concentrated flavour, usually mixed ~3%) and 3% ethyl maltol (dissolved in PG) I didnt even wait... I loaded a carto and its delicious right away!

Now my question... in the bottle of ethyl maltol, the crystals arent dissolved. there is a centimeter thick layer of undissolved crystals at the bottom of the vial (I obviously shook the bottle before using it). Do I have to somehow dissolve this before using? How? It worked, but I want to rest my anxieties and KNOW that its how its supposed to be. Consistency is key.

Either way, I am loving this DIY, and have found a much cheaper alternative to buying ejuice. I will still probably buy Pluid and a few other favs (Like alice in vapeland cherry blossom or White rabbit) but I see myself saving a LOT of money this way, and always having a ton of liquid on hand. for a $30 starter pack, I got enough PG and VG, and 60mg nicotine mix, plus flavorings to make 7 more 30ml bottles. Even then I just have to buy some more flavourings and I have enough pg/vg/nic for several more.

This rocks! If I had been vaping longer than a month, I would probably be saying "why didnt I do this sooner" but luckily I got into it pretty soon.

Sweetness!! :vapor:

Cheers!
:toast:

I wish I had started as early as you guys. It took almost 2 years of vaping until I started :D I've extensive experience on other people's juices, and now it's like starting from fresh.

The EM needs to be dissolved, in what, and amounts, I do not know (PG most likely). Though, there are a plethora of experienced ....'s around, and someone will answer you shortly, of that I am sure. :)

The EM I bought was already a liquid.
