Just tried my first DIY juice and am very pleased at the results.
Very simple recipe of coffee espresso, caramel and whipped cream.
60/40 PG/VG....6MG Nic for my wife and 0 Nic for me...
I would like for the coffee to come through a little more but not going to adjust the %s until I let it steep a couple more days and see how it does...then I'll adjust in a new batch.

Thanks for all the help and guidance!!

Sounds like a good plan.
Might want to check the recommended flavor % of mix.
Could research the recommended steep time for coffee espresso, caramel and whipped cream.
Adding % increase to coffee can work, provided your overall flavor % is not too high. Could consider using less caramel. WC is pretty light flavor so should not be a prob. IMO.

Thanks for the input and I am one who errors on the side of weak figuring I can better detect and correct if flavor is on the weak side as opposed to the strong side....hahaha...but what do I know
These are all Flavour Art flavor's and I dialed in 5,3,2 for Esspresso, Caramel and Whipped Cream!
I'll find out soon enough

When dealing with coffee's, it's a tricky job. You are correct let it sit a week or two and then adjust. Some coffee's mellow and some become more potent with age. The trick is figuring out which type your using. Only time will tell. Any type of cream also needs time to develop some creams take more time then the coffee to develop so waiting is the best tool for your type of mix.

Thanks for the input danny45....I'm keeping very detailed notes of everything I do, when I do it and how I do it. Trying not to miss anything and not rush it.

However...I do have a question for you about the ultrasonic cleaner you use for your steeping process.
On average..using it..how much does it cut the steep time?
I have no idea being so new to the DIY juice business but it seems as if the ultrasonic cleaner with heat like the http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AY4TLVG...UTF8&colid=3801SRMWS4UHH&coliid=I37LHTWWH1IR3 that you suggested and use would be the most consistent way to do DIY with minimum fuss and effort. What do you think?

Thanks for all your help.

Might want to check out "frothing" in search or Google. Some folks swear that this is a better way/method to go in reducing steep time. If you are just beginning DIY and want to establish a baseline with regards to taste vs "natural wait and see" steeping, I would stick to natural steep. Then, I would look into or try accelerated steep/aging methods.

@dannyv45, Noticed your blog appeared not to include frothing (relatively newer steeping method). Might want to add.

Thanks BrotherBob....
I like to experiment and find/use as many methods as suits my pleasure or needs...It's just all part the hunt!
