Heyas,
Yesterday I was at the town strawberry festival, had my eGo with me (hand carried) and I noticed that the atty felt hot so I was able to unscrew the atty. The LED on the batt is white, so I didnt notice that it was on due to bright sunlight. Brought the unit home and checked it out, seemed no problem.
Just now I was sitting here reading the Forum and the light didnt go off after I vaped and I couldnt GET it to go off, had to qwick unscrew the cone and get the atty off. Anyone else having sticky button problems?
Anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks..

PS Have had this since middle of April or so

Wouldn't it be safe to test the on/off function of the battery as long as the battery is not attached to the atomizer.

The very first thing I would do is unscrew it from your atomizer and make sure you know which battery is the wiki one. Put a post-it note on it or something so like a small piece of sctoch tape to mark it as possible bad.

Then I would cycle the on button a few time in a dim room where you can see the LED.

If it does stick in the on possition and it is a new, I would contact the place where you got it and see if they will replace it.

This is an interesting issue. I've followed the ego for a while as i'm considering to finally get myself a big battery type of mod but don't wanna get too crazy. So i figured the ego/riva/tornado/t-rex/absolute maxx is probably what i need.

It seems that different versions are boasting about how much their buttons are improved. This probably means that the original ego does indeed have a button issue and other manufacturers are quick to improve on this and snatch themselves a share of the market.

So far, i've read two types of improvements. One by the riva - that claims that the button is improved but from what i can see from the pictures, its still the plastic/ rubber type. Another one if from Absolute Maxx, which claims to have a stainless steel button. This would probably be much better for a button, in my humble opinion. The price is pretty good too.

Too bad its still on preorder. Will read more on the developments and hopefully join in the hype soon/.

I dont think there is a button issue... one or two here and there maybe but look at how many are sold.... I have 10 that I use and NO button issues yet.

What makes you sure there is more than One manufacture?

What makes you sure there is more than One manufacture?

1)There was the ego & riva incident which i do not want to stir up.

2)Joye controls the pricing for the ego and thats why practically everyone sells at almost the same prices. Once you see a different pricing, u will know for sure its not from Joye.

3)Why so many parties boasting of improvements?

Of course, this is just my deduction and i could be wrong.

I had a sticky button issue with my first eGo set... great vendor, had a new one in ny mailbox before I got the old one back to him... ;-)

Bought two other sets since, no button problems...

I heard from one of our most reliable vendors that some 510 attys may be killing eGo batteries.
They said it might be best to stick with the genuine Joye...
I have had 2 eGo batteries fry inexplicably...
Still lovin' the ego and no problems using a joye atty.

I've been using using my EGo's almost exclusively for almost 3 months and haven't had a single problem with them yet.

I've HEARD about the sticking buttons, but so far so good I suppose. I wouldn't be concerned ordering one, the issues seem VERY few and far between.

To the OP, sorry that you're having all these problems!! :( BIIIG EGo hug!!

Hey, yes it was a genuine Janty eGo, it was definite problem with the button sticking, happened three times on the same battery unit. But it hasnt happened again because....I got a Provape. OMG! This is the BEST! No more proprietary batteries for me, no way! Now I can use my cartomizers, yay! They did NOT draw well on the eGo, now I am happy happy!

And I still have five back up eGo batts, may I never ever need them!
All is well that ends well, imo!

I had this problem creep up on one of my janty Ego Batteries About a week ago i just wiggled the Button around a bit and it was all good. I noticed the button was sticking because at one point one of my attys was super hot after i took a vape and i noticed that the button was stuck.
