a guy at work had an w cig so I took what little he told me about it and went down to a local vape shop and picked up this recommended starter kit, was never given an owners manual, don't know any of the specs, had to spend hours on google just to identify what type of e cig I had, any way these mofos are a pain to use compared to a real cigarette, how u can't lay them on their sides can only be standing up blah blah blah and how theres a atomizer, clearomizer, cartomizer, ... is all that I think I have a clearomizer I'm using 8 mg nicotine and that crap burns my throat and I used to smoke newports basically about 12 to a pack a day depending whether I was drinking or not. and how do I fix that throat hit/burn I'm new and what the hell is resistance and how do u customize it

Welcome to the forum jloper, it can be frustrating in the beginning, I also didn't get instructions with my kit. I found this site that has a downloadable PDF instructions for the Ego-T kit EGo-T Starter Kit Instructions. I don't have the ego T, I have the ego C, but I have always been able to lay mine down using clearomizers, I would constantly be knocking mine over if I had to stand it up. I was a 2 pad a day smoker and found the ecig very harsh in the beginning lots of coughing etc. I just needed to inhale a little differently and it took a little practice ,they don't smoke the same as a cigarette. If you go to the top of the forum you will see a tab called infoZone, there are a lot of articles to help new e-cig users. I also would suggest 24 mg nic juice or at least an 18 in the beginning. PG gives you throat hit and VG produces a lot of vapor, it is subjective as to what you will like, I prefer to vape a 50/50 blend. Also please remember to drink plenty of water as vaping is dehydrating. There is plenty of help on the forum, please don't get too discouraged.
