Hi,
having just started vaping, I thought I'd just give a few words detailing my experiences thus far.
The short version is great.
I have not had any inclination to smoke regular cigarettes. Be it because I'm just in love with technology, things with batteries and leds, coupled with a fair doze of placebo, I don't know, but that's where it stands. I did fire up one normal cigarette, just to have a feel for it, and it wasn't a nice experience, even after only a day or so with my Evod. It tasted strange, even bad, and I put it after about one third.
One question regarding coils and wicks, though.
The first one, the one already installed in the unit, started to giving me trouble fairly early on.
It was gurgling and bubbling, leaking, and only the second evening starting dry hit.
I opened it up, looked at it thouroughly, but couldn't visually see any problems, nothing burnt, no black marks, no nothing.
I put it a new one, and gave the old one a good 3 minute cleaning, under running hot water.
I haven't returned to it, yet, since the new one I put in seems different, no leakage, no gurgling, and no dry hits.
Is the quality of the coils a hit and miss?
I'm also definitely going to look into rebuilding the coils, it looks deceptively easy, but I've also seen many mentions of people rebuilding, and using plain cotton for wicks. Seems like the way to go if you ask me.
