Hi All

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move if so.

I have just received my shiney (well matt black) new Kissbox Classic. I ordered this from ivapour.co.uk yesterday so hat off to Toby for another very quick turnaround.

The first battery is on charge so that will take 12 hours before I can try it but because I ordered the extended set it came with a USB passthrough :)

Ok, so I eagerly put the KB together with the manual switch (I prefer those to the autos), stuck on a cart and started vaping. The first few vapes certainly are nothing to write home about but I expect that the atty needs warming up so will wait a while and come back with some more feedback.

One thing I noticed and that was some dark orange / brown colouring on the cart after a few puffs. I can only presume this is some primer they put on the atty. I have blow the atty a few times to try and remove it but its still comming out. Guess this will pass in time (anyone else experience this?)

A comment on the case that came with the extended version: Before it arrived the case looked exactly like the cheapy cases you get for £6 but with the logo printed on it. It looked exactly the same. HOWEVER, on receiving the case, whilst it does look the same it is a much higher quality build. The lid and base line up for one thing. It is also sprung loaded so the case opens better, the clasp part is bigger and works much better and all KB parts fit snuggly in their sections. Nice!

Right, i've been vaping the KB for around an hour now and here are some observations :

1. The orange / browny colouring is now a lot less. Still comming out but nowhere near as much.
2. As for throat hit, well its definately there but is totally different to the Dura-C. The Dura is harsh and still takes me by suprise occasionally. The KB is much smoother. You can feel it and you can feel the vapour going down your throat but it is so much smoother than the Dura.
3. The throat hit only seems to happen if the cart is fully topped up. These carts hold a lot of liquid but as soon as it drys a little near the top the throat hit disappears. So for example, looking at my cart now, if I push the filler material down a bit with some tweasers I see liquid so the cart is still good. But there is no throat hit at all. If I now top the cart up the throat hit will come back. This may be a problem.
4. No leaks at all but be carefull when you snap the cart onto the atty as it can splatter.

i've just added 2 drops to my cart (all I could get in) and the throat hit is back. Thats how full my cart is before it looses the hit.

Ive gotta take a rest from vaping for a short bit as i think I may be overdosing on nicotiene :)

Well I managed to leave it alone for 5 minutes after the hit had gone and now its hitting a bit better again. Im wondering if the wick is slow at pulling the juice up through the cart?

I have a KB, and I think I sometimes vape faster than it can wick.

For me, I didn't fully appreciate my KB until I had been vaping a few weeks using several different models. I think part of it is it took a while before my sense of taste improved sufficiently to appreciate the subtlety of the vapor produced by the KB.

My taste buds suck at the moment. Normally I just get a hint of flavour but with the KB that hint is stronger. cant waite for my taste buds to return to normal :)

Well, at least you realize that your taste buds suck . . . I really didn't realize how bad mine were for awhile. ;) I've described my first experience with a KB as kind of like giving fine wine to a wino--rot gut or the good stuff all pretty much works the same. But once I got my taste buds back, woo-hoo! :D

For me, my taste buds seemed to start to awaken around the 3-4 week mark.

I'm now in my 3rd month of vaping, and I've noticed that in the last month or so I've been using far less salt in my foods. I think my taste buds were so shot that I'd use salt because it was strong enough to taste. Now I'm finding some foods simply too salty . . . something that would have been unheard of a few months ago. (In fact, my husband used to say to me, "Would you like some potato with your salt?" :p)
