Hi, folks. :)

This is a review of The Vapor Chef E Liquids. The juices I will be reviewing today are the Caramel Apple, and the Frosty Apple.

Ready? Here we go:

Pricing:

These are some of the higher-end priced juices available, with 5ml bottles for $3.99, 15ml bottles for $10.99, and 30ml bottles for $19.99.
Now, here's where it gets a little complicated:
The 5ml bottles are actually 6ml bottles, and you get the full 6ml even though it's listed as 5ml. Nice.
The 15ml bottles are just that. Also nice.
The 30ml bottles are indeed 30ml, but here's the kicker: you get an extra 6ml bottle of the same flavor along with the 30ml bottle, so it's listed as 36ml. Very nice.

*Note: the Chef's default mix is 50PG/50VG, and that's what I ordered. The strength was 24mg/ml.

Response and Shipping:

Both were just fantastic. Order confirmation was immediate, the juice was made fresh to order, and the order was shipped the following day (I placed the order in the evening, so that is of course to be expected).
The order was placed on Thursday the 24th in the evening. It was shipped via USPS 1st Class Parcel Post on Friday the 25th in the morning. The shipment arrived on Monday the 28th.
I live in Washington State, and The Vapor Chef is located in Pennsylvania. That's exceptionally fast shipping time for a cross-country 1st Class order, especially allowing for weekend travel - I honestly wasn't expecting it to arrive until Tuesday at the earliest, so I was very pleasantly surprised by, and pleased with, the fast service provided.

Preparation:

In preparation for testing the juices, I opened up and assembled a brand new Vision Eternity RBA. The Caramel Apple was tested in dripping mode, and the Frosty Apple was tested in tank mode using the eGo-T tank that's included with the Eternity. This is a very versatile rig, and I highly recommend it, but enough of that - this is a juice review, after all (But, check out the Vision Eternity - seriously - it's a fantastic multi-purpose device.).
The bottles were still cold from their cross-country Winter journey when they arrived, so I allowed them to warm up naturally until they reached room temperature before diving in.

First impressions:

Opening the Package:

The order was very carefully and thoroughly packed. The 5.5"x5.5" shipping box was packed tightly with bio-degradable packing "peanuts". Each bottle was in its own sealed Zip-Lock bag, and the bag itself in turn was wrapped generously with bubble wrap. I honestly believe that I could have dropped the unopened package from a 2-story window onto a concrete sidewalk, and that each bottle inside would have remained intact and undamaged.

Side Note:

Ooh! The 36ml of the Caramel Apple is in a fuzzy drawstring bag! There was a free fuzzy drawstring bag included! A 3.5"x4.5" fuzzy drawstring bag, no less! I love fuzzy drawstring bags! I mean, who doesn't love fuzzy drawstring bags, right? Endless uses...
(Rumor has it that there might be a free Toy Soldier included in some future orders. I hope he's packed in the fuzzy drawstring bag to keep him warm!)

Right, then - where was I... ah, yes...

The Bottles:

The 15ml and 30ml bottles are clear glass with glass dropper caps (these are the good quality droppers - fat, with a nice taper at the end, not the cheapo skinny ones), and the 6ml bottles are the standard plastic ones. None of them are child-proof, so taking appropriate precautions is strongly recommended if you have pets and/or small children. The dropper caps are tightly shrink-wrap sealed onto the glass bottles with good quality thick and stiff shrink-wrap, but the glass bodies of the bottles themselves are exposed.

First hit:

Caramel Apple:

Holy Mother of... oh, wow. Just... wow.
I have never in all the years I've been vaping ever tasted a juice with flavor this accurate! Not once. Not ever. It tastes exactly like the Red Candy Apples that you can get at the store during Halloween season, at the Circus, or at the Carnival (no sprinkled nuts, though). I used to be a Carny in my younger days, and I was instantly transported by that first taste back 40 years down Memory Lane - ah, good times... I don't normally say this about juices - I usually say that they're good, or tasty, but, This. Was. Delicious! Again, wow.
However, I would personally call it Candy Apple instead of Caramel Apple, because that's exactly what it tastes like to me - in my experience, caramel flavoring tends to really stand out in a mix and at times (actually, more often than not) can even overpower the intended flavor, and that's just not happening at all with this delightful concoction. The flavoring balance is absolutely perfect.

Frosty Apple:

This is a very interesting flavor. Chef Aras uses Koolada to give it a nice "cool bite". It's a cool, refreshing hit like Menthol, but without the stinging Mentholy taste. It actually enhances the sweet appley goodness, giving it a "crisp out of the icebox" impression. This is another amazingly accurate flavor - it was like biting into a cold, sweet, fresh apple. Again, I have to call this one delicious as well.

Conclusion:

The vapor production is just what one would expect from a 50/50 mix. The Throat Hit is decidedly not. It is exceptionally strong for a 50/50 mix. But, like I said above, I vape 24mg juice, so that factor needs to be taken into consideration as well. As always, YMMV.
These juices are well worth every penny paid for them, and then some. If the Chef was asking $25/30ml, I'd pay it in a heartbeat for this level of quality. These are most definitely "Shake'n'Vape" juices - they're just wonderful fresh, and will probably only get better with steeping, but I somehow doubt that they'll have a chance to do that before they're all used up and re-ordered, because they're just so delicious.

ProTip: Blend the Frosty Apple with some of the Caramel Apple for an instant "Icy Candy Apple" mouthgasm. 'nuff said.

Bottom Line:

I cannot recommend The Vapor Chef enough.
Chef Aras is a professional Chef. He has tapped into his years of experience, and applied them to his mixing. The flavors he creates are incredibly accurate, and outstandingly delicious. This is extremely high quality juice that I am confident you will enjoy to the last drop.

Cheers, and Happy Vaping, everyone! :D

I just got my first thevaporchef.com order and I agree on most points with OP Maddoktor2.

Pricing is a bit expensive at first glance, but if you buy the 30ml bottle (which is actually 36ml), it works out to $0.55/ml which is a great price. They also offer a discount with coupon code GRAND25 (not sure how long this will last), for 25% off, making it $0.41/ml, with a glass bottle with a little plastic travel bottle. Even MtBakerVapor (Walmart flavors, Walmart care) is $0.29/ml making this barely more expensive, and much better packaging.

The glass bottle packaging that Maddoktor2 explained I can also affirm, and smaller bottles are in a nice, heavy duty plastic bottle. Honestly, the plastic of the 6ml bottles feels much more durable than any of the other 3 vendors I've ordered from and the dropper tip runs a bit slower - my first MBV bottle basically squirted 3ml out on me when I was trying for a single drop - none of that with these bottles.

The flavors I got (all straight out of vapemail, no steeping, and I received them 2 days after the mixed by date on the bottle):

Caramel Apple. Holy cow, this is delicious. DELICIOUS. For me, the shiny red apple is really predominant and then on "mouth roll" and exhale (especially through the nose) the caramel comes through powerfully and as sweet as you'd expect a caramel to be. While I'm just using an ego twist, this has had the biggest vape clouds of any of the 10 flavors I've tried from a variety of vendors. 30PG/70VG mix, with a solid throat hit considering the mix and 18mg nic.

Honey Pearry. Also DELICIOUS. This is like a nice fresh ripe honeydew as it hits your mouth. After a little mouth roll, some soft watermelony flavors come up - not real watermelon, like watermelon gum. I think it's the "strawberry" that's described on the flavor's page, and I got no pear at all. I'm hoping to get some pear and more of a strawberry taste after a bit of steep. On exhale, the honeydew is even more sweet and present and there is serious sweet deliciousness to this juice. A nose exhale is really ridiculously honeydew flavored - like taking a chomp out of a wet, juicy melon. Really nice vapor from 50/50 mix, decent throat hit also 18mg nic.
This, if you like melon, could be your new ADV. It's mine.

Frosty Blue Jazzberry aka Schmeisenberg special. Just like a Blue Raspberry Icee, just not quite as cold. This actually surprised me a little because i did a half-hearted rinse and dry burn on my clearomizer that had extra-flavor MBV wintergreen in it. I thought the wintergreen would hang around but it did not. Blue raspberry. This is a bit too cloyingly sweet for an ADV, it's definitely good for a nice treat. The stuff thevaporchef.com uses for cooling (Koolada? I think) is tasty and has me looking forward to the Frosty cranberry and frosty strawberry i plan to order next.

PB Nomnoms. I haven't vaped this yet. But just opening it up and putting a tiny little half-drop on the tip of my tongue, it tastes seriously good. It was like licking the knife after making peanut butter toast. I look forward to this after dinner tonight.

Edit Not the perfect vape. It's not quite peanut buttery, but it is close. Kind of rough on the back of the throat (I'm new however).. That being said, I chain vaped 1.5ml or so of this last night while reading and listening to music. So it's good, very desserty, close to peanut butter, definitely nomnom.

Keep in mind this is out of a clearomizer on an ego, and I've not been exposed to hundreds of flavors like some of you may have been.

So overall, even though the prices might be a bit on the "expensive" side, packaging, understated volume of bottles, care in packaging, speed of service (2 days from mix to my door, halfway across the country, via USPS) and most importantly the downright *amazing* flavors of the juice more than make the slightly higher pricing over Walmart-of-E-juice worth it.

Mount Baker vapor is the Wal-Mart of e juice? They have great products at great prices and some of the fastest delivery for any vendor. Man I smell a shill here.

This strikes me at first glance as an exciting vendor. I'm liking two things on the website - first, these claims:
..."All of our vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol is USP certified... (our) flavor extracts...are diacetyl, acetyl propionyl and acetoin free, and are specifically formulated for vaping... we never add any color, water or alcohol to our juice and we don't use WTA extracts". which covers the bases important to me nowadays and wonderful to see on a website. I know some aren't concerned about diacetyl and similarly composed substances, but I am. :)
And he's a chef. :) My very favorite juice of all time (and a new one) is Ahlusion, concocted by a professional food flavorist. Really (to me) a very significant cut above any others I've tried. Might be that food pros have a real edge here. I'm eternally satisfied with Ahlusion but will def give this vendor a try, too.
Thanks for the heads up!
Dunno what those 'shilling' comments are about, seemed like a straightforward post to me. Oh, maybe the deleted ones.

I'm currently vaping on some coolcumber melon. It's quite good! A bit strong on the menthol, but I figure that will mellow out as it steeps. I'm really liking the melon after taste on it though. Packing, as stated, was excellent. There was even a little army man buried in the box that I'm sure would have gotten lost in the peanuts and thrown out if I wasn't digging for the packing slip in the bottom. I also received a sample of Honey Peary which I haven't tired yet. The sample was the same VG/PG mix and strength as my order which is very appreciated. There is a 25% discount code floating around out there that's valid until the end of the month, so do some searching if you'd like to give the vapor chef a try.

The guy lives about 20 minutes from me and I received the package in 3 days (ordered the 19th, sent out the 20th, USPS estimated delivery the 21st, arrived on the 22nd). I've talked to him in chat rooms, he seems very passionate and a genuinely nice dude. I'll probably be hitting him up to so some tasting in the future.

I ordered 30 (36?) mg of that caramel apple and will report back. Any vendor who honestly tries of keep his juice acetyl propionyl and acetoin free (I think everyone is aware of diacetyl by now) wins my applause. I do wonder if that's why he hasn't got more flavors, though?
That said, I've been chain vaping for over 3 years now and just had my annual checkup. Doc says my lungs sound perfect and was very surprised that I'd chain-smoked for decades. That's an awfully nice thing to hear. :)

I'm not saying his products are bad. I just get the feeling there's some shills making comments as how great they are. His products could be great and I plan on trying them out. I found the Wal-Mart of e juice comment to be a bit snobby and at the very least, disingenuous in my opinion.
