Hey, so I got my Valkyrie yesterday and threw a quick build (my first ever!) on it with the wire that was provided (so I'm unsure of the gauge/ohms) and it's working pretty well so far. Here are some unboxing/first pictures I took.

Everything looked good except the little bit of stuff you see in the last picture, and that was easily taken care of with a damp q tip. The threads are great, my button is working fine, and overall I'm a very very happy camper. It's not nearly as heavy as I thought it'd be, which is cool. Also the airholes are insane. I can't imagine ever needing to have both open at once. Even one gets too airy for me sometimes. Although my coil does seem unusually cool, so that might be something to do with it.
Anyways, if you've ever thought about getting one of these--I highly suggest it. Hell, get two.

The second airhole is for dual coil builds where you'd want air moving over each coil. There are at least a few positive posts here about the Valkyrie. One of those threads might have info on different builds on it.

Oh, I know. I think when I get into dual builds, I'll probably open each hole partway so it's not overwhelmingly airy. Although, I'm coming from a device with tiiiny airholes, so maybe it's just an adjustment period.
I found a thread a while ago about what people liked on their Valkyrie but I can't seem to find it anymore. Maybe I imagined it.

Its statements like this that scare the heck out of me. Please be safe and learn max battery amp ratings and to properly produce coils within specific ohm ranges. Then get a Ohm meter and always meter your coils.

I would hate for you to build a dual coil setup that runs in the 0.2 range, not even know it and then vent your battery.

i got one a few months ago and like it for the most part except that damn button! its very finnicky and probably needs a different spring because some places on the button will fire it, some wont, some halfway, depends where you press the button, and looking at it from the side the button looks lopsided almost, im guessing its the spring but havent really pursued it but i use it when im on the go and dont wanna risk dinging up one of my authentics, overall pretty happy with it, easy to build good vapor etc, just that damn button...

You don't know what ohms you're running? Stop what you are doing, get a multimeter and check the ohms before vaping further. Don't ignore the safety aspects. Having said that, I agree with comments re the fire button. Apparently, this was an issue on the authentic and EHPRO carried it over to the clone. The button is a big PITA, if you ask me. I thought I had it fixed on my EHPRO, but it continues to give me problems. I'm getting ready to tear it down...AGAIN...and see what I can do to resolve it. If you are lucky, your button will work the way it should, but don't be surprised if it misfires and/or heats up. In which case, stop using the mod and tear into the switch. Otherwise, I can say that I love to vape the thing. If only it wouldn't drive me nuts!

That is beautiful. I'm really tempted to pick one up now. You should really give it a run in dual coil mode. Setup as a micro dual coil, it's not much more work than a single, yet the vape is unbelievable. Glad you like it !!
Yeah, I got my multimeter yesterday and my 28g wire should be coming on Thursday so I'll definitely do a dual coil next.

I've got Sony VTC5s and I did five wrap around a q tip so I'm honestly not worried. The wire is definitely more than 28g (I'm guessing it's 32, actually) so I'd be surprised if it's even a sub ohm at this point.
Yes on a SS mod with Brass contact I dont recommend running lower than .3 ohms
When I get all my supplies, I don't plan on going lower than .5, just to be safe.

101vapes included an extra button/spring so if I need to, I can definitely replace everything. The button hasn't gotten hot at all but it's definitely started being more finnicky, which is annoying. Sometimes I have to press it in a very specific spot on the side. It'd be less annoying if I just had to press it in the middle, since the middle is always...the middle, haha.

My button is pretty good, except for the occasional annoyances with not firing. I might take it into a shop if it keeps being weird since I'm not 100% confident with putting everything back together.
Umm... I don't care for the shape of it, it looks like a pepper grinder to me.
I love the shape of it, that's why I got it. Plain mods bother me, since they all just look the same.
