So I got to the post office to pickup my GH1 order and I've had a chance to try out the 1000mAh "ego" batt and the boge 1.5 ohm cartos.
1000mAh batts: This is a really great item from all first impressions, the soft rubber button is definately an improvement. It is very comfortable to hold, IMHO moreso than my standard ego. I can get three fingers wrapped around the device with my pinky underneath and my thumb on the button. With my standard ego I usually end up having a two finger hold and this feels much more fitted to my hand. The gold band and endcap are less attractive than the silver ones but they seem to go well with the black batt and black carto. It came fully charged which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it, 40% is the norm and is better for long term storage but oh well. all in all, definately worth the $8
1.5 ohm boge cartos: As far as I can tell these are identical to the standard boge cartos in all but resistance. They come in the same box and are packaged identically, and look the same inside. They hold right around 30 drops of juice, same as the normal ones. And then you push the button... With my standard boges and 5mg juice I usually push the button a second or two before bringing it to my mouth and I instinctively wait for the sizzle before sucking. Then I take a long slow draw until my ego cuts out and I get satisfactory TH and excellent flavour. With these, as soon as you push that button it's like eggs frying in a pan. I made the mistake of taking a 10 second haul on my first try and BAM right in the throat. Upon exhaling my girlfriend who was watching me dissapeared behind a wall of vapour and I went into a caughing fit (I have the flu, wasn't the cartos fault). I have since restricted myself to 3-5 second drags and I am getting more vapour, more TH, and about the same flavour as 10-12 seconds with the standard ones. It seems they are capable of a burnt filler taste if you take a long drag followed quickly by another long drag (10 seconds) but if you give them a few seconds in between they are good to go.
Anyway, those are my thoughts, sorry it was so long. I will do a follow up in about a week.
