I received both the VVG I bought in the classifieds and the RM2 I ordered in today's vapemail. I was expecting the VVG to be much bigger than it is, and so was expecting something that would be kind of odd to hold after being used to my Provari's. It's not bad at all though, it shouldn't be hard to get used to. The RM2 is absolutely tiny!! This will be a problem for me as far as building coils and getting them in there goes. And then the itty bitty peice of cotton?! Oh boy. My vision has gone down hill pretty badly over the past 5 years or so, so I'm going to have to find one of those magnifying do-dads that I can attach to my table to help me out with this. I so was not expecting something this small. The RM2's look much bigger in the pics and vids I've seen, but of course that's because they were all close ups. Super close ups, lol!

I just returned from Michael's where I bought myself a coiling gizmo and a handy little wire gauge that will help me figure out the size of the things I'll use for the diameter. So I'm preparing to try to build my first coil now. I'm sitting here laughing as I think about me sitting at my table with my coke bottle reading glasses that I use to see things with fine detail AND a magnifying glass!!

I'll end this post with a pic of my current vape buddies with their new pal Mr. VVG.

Holy shidd I did it! Pardon the language but I'm very excited! The ohms didn't come out to what I was shooting for but I've got a working coil and am vaping my VV now. It's got a very airy draw and gives sort of a smooth vibe to the vape. I'm liking it! I keep wanting to take the cap off the RM2 to see how much juice I'm pushing up in there cause I'm afraid I'm going to flood it, gotta get this sqonking thing down.

As far as my coil goes I used the A-1 kanthal 28 gauge that reomods sells and wrapped 12 wraps around the next to the smallest tool in the coiling gizmo, which looks to be about .25mm or.01 inches according to my wire gauge. The smallest tool with the gizmo measure at under .16mm or .006 inches. I thought the smallest tool might be to small so I used the next larger one. I was shooting for 2.0 ohms or higher but wasn't sure how this would turn out because of the diameter issue. I wound up with 1.6 ohms according to the reading on my provari. I'll have to study the ohm chart I found here at ECF some more and look for a tool the right size that I can maybe use with the coiling gizmo.

I'm a happy camper!

I've had two VV Grand for over a year, and I'm settled in at 1.7- 1.8 ohms. about 11 or 12 wrap on a 5/64 drill bit. WalMart arts and crafts dept. sells needle threaders 3 for $1, makes getting cotton (or any material) wicks to slide in easy. Enjoy. I'm vaping some Highbrow Dark Chocolate Mint in one as I type :vapor:

Hello Penny and congrats
for the vv I used 32 gauge or 30 you dont need as many coils to get to your desired ohm .
I try to shoot for a 2 ohm coil on a vv grand this gives you more room to adjust up and down .
If your coil is to low of a ohm and you crank the voltage up the mod will shut down .

Hi Rob, thanks for the tips. I need to know this stuff. I'll have to order some different gauges and do some experimenting. Thanks!

Welcome to the mad house of happy vapers fellow Hoosier. Once you get used to coiling you'll have to get a Grand for #2. Looks like you have a year coming up next month......perfect time to get one. I'm just sayin'. That VVG in Black Dub is schweeeet.

I have been eyeballing the LP mini silver tumbled. I like black and silver. ;)

I have to ask you what that topper is? It looks very nice with your mini. That is a mini right?

p.s. I grew up in NorCal. The Bay Area to be exact. I miss it.

That's a cyclone :)[/QUOTE]

This VVG/RM2 is kicking my ....! It's almost to much. Maybe it's my coil, I don't know, but the throat hit is just off the wall strong, I'm feeling it in my lungs and coughing for the first time since I tried my first vape. And I'm getting a headrush if I hit it to often and I'm only using 12mg juice. I do tend to take hits very close together, so that's going to have to change. This is such a dramatic change for me. I'm used to almost no TH with my eBaron's/Provari combo, and that's something that had been dragging me down for quite some time. I'd actually thought about quitting vaping because of it. The flavor on the eBaron was ok so that kept me hanging in there. But this VVG/RM2 is a game changer. No joke. The Reo hype is not hype, it is real.

So what can I do to mellow things out a little? I've got the volts as low as they will go.
