Changing coils really depends on how often you use it and what kind of juice that you use. Using a really high vg juice I get a lot of build up on my coils very quickly. It still works fine but any build up will effect how fast your coils heat up. I like to change out my coil on a kayfun every 3 or 4 battery swaps. The kayfun is so easy to build it takes less than 5 min and a fresh coil just makes the vape that much more enjoyable.

The battery can't limit the amps, there's nothing there to do that. So you probably are hitting 15 watts with that resistance, and stressing the battery. It's ratings may be given as continuous discharge (probably that 2.5 you cite, if that's really the battery rating, and not the mod, which CAN limit the amps) or as pulse discharge. You want the continuous rate to be higher than what you'll ever demand from it, or risk battery failure.

If you're using a regulated mod, which will have a controlled maximum amp rating, then with the coil you mention, 1.5 Ω, it may well be "clamping" the voltage lower than you expect to not exceed the mod's amp max. With those values, that would be 3.75 volts.

I'm using a Vision Spinner II now. My MOD should arrive in about a week.

Cheers nikosh! When you dry burn are you using a regulated device ? Do you just pulse ? How long about ?

It depends what is available. To my opinion it doesn’t matter.
I give power to my device then I blow on the coil to get rid of any burned residues and then some more pulses (1 or 2) and immediately under tap water (without power of course when under water)
