Ok guys I finally got my first mod my setup:
Tobeco copper manhatten clone
Tobeco tugboat v2 clone
efest 35 amp 2500 mah imr battery
I also got an ohms meter and an efest soda charger and i am using 28 gauge kanthal with organic "vape" cotton i only spent $130 on my setup including the charger and ohms meter

This is what ive learned and im asking you guys just to make sure i am correct i did some research on the safety of mech mods before just jumping into this world of mods. I just want to make sure that im practicing safe cloudchasing. First off with my 3.7 volt battery 35 amps i believe i can make subohm coils all the way down to .12 ohms is this correct?

also i believe i am not supposed to drain the battery past 3.6v which means if my clouds start decreasing to charge my battery. Also i need to take the battery off the charger as soon as its done because it cannot go past 4.2 v

i believe that if i follow ohms law and dont build my coils under .12 ohms and i keep my battery at the right charge that these are the only two safety concerns i should have is this correct or is there more?

also with the type of battery i have should i charge it at .5A or 1A?

another thing is the vapesafe is it worth getting? Will it really protect me from anything?

when im going to bed and done with my mod for the night do i leave it in my manhattan? Or do i need to take it out? Is there special conditions i must store the battery in?

should i buy a charging bag to use when charging my battery?

and anything else i didnt address that i should know about my mod/battery?

thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions im just trying to practice safe modding

Full edit:

1. Lowest I would go is 0.15ohm, which takes 28 amps, not 35

2. Leave some room for fails, build at 0.15 at the lowest for a 18650 battety

3. Don't know about this, I charge mine at 1 amp

4. Vapesafe is only for non-subohm stuff, no point getting a 7amp fuse if your build takes 28amps

5. Take the battery out or the atty off and doublecheck your fire button won't press on it's own

6. You can get, but if stored and charged properly, 18650 batteries are relatively safe, but if youw ant to be sure, then get one

7. Nothing that I could remember of right now, you can check baditudes blog which I don't have a link for right now

Two more i forgot:
I dont believe my manhattan clone has any "vents" is this unsafe? If so could i possibly drill the vents in?
Also my manhattan doesnt have a lock ring for the fire button
Drill some vent holes, if a mod doesn't have any vent holes and a battery vents, it's a pipebomb essentially, you could drill 3-6 holes in the bottom and 3 holes in the top near the topcap to be extra safe, you don't have to drill the top holes though as most mods I have and have used have a bottom venting system.

A mod without locking ring is more likely to autofire if you store it in your pocket when you go to city for example unless you have really strong magnets/spring in the switch, remove the battery and put it in a battery case where it can't short to be sure your mod won't autofire

Please...

Don't jump right into super low builds. You could hurt yourself. Start out building higher ohm builds until you master building reliable coils at a reasonable resistance. Anything between .8 and .5 would let you get the feel of winding coils and more importantly, wicking. You really won't enjoy hitting a .12 ohm dry cotton burnt wick...

From your questions it sounds like you went straight to a mechanical mod instead of a regulated mod.
I'd recommend you use a regulated mod first before using a mech.
You don't have to "jump" from nothing straight to rda, mech mod, AND sub-ohm.
You are go in stages.
Use a regulated mod, 28 gauge, 1 ohm for starters.
Once you get that going good, you move from there; meanwhile you also get used to battery issues with charging etc, instead of having to worry about 3 different sets of problems all at once.

Those really aren't 35A batteries; they are 20A.

Charging bags are for egos. If you put that charger in a bag, it might overheat. It should be open and on a solid fireproof surface.

Ohm meters can be off as much as 0.15ohms. I would not build below 0.2ohms, but that's me.

Bags aren't meant for chargers. Only the batteries should go in the bag with leads going to the charger. But I do agree that you're better off charging on a fireproof surface than using a bag.
