First mod and I have a question...

Ok so I got my first mod today. I wanted to ease into it so I got a Bolt with the 18650 extension. My question is about charging the battery. I got the protected aw 2200 mah (black and silver). Will this battery stop working when it gets to the low voltage limit like the ego batteries I'm used to? I've seen posts that say going below a certain voltage will ruin the battery. I'm on the road during the week and don't have a multi-meter with me to test it. Is that where the protection comes in? If not will it hurt to top off the charge daily even when not fully depleted? Any info y'all can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On a fully mechanical mod the battery will not just stop working but you will feel when it needs to be charged in your vape. The protection will stop it from getting so low it vents but not from getting slow 3.4 volta

Oh ok. Thanks for the info. So will it be ok to top it off daily? I'm not such a heavy vaper so it would probably be only about half depleted.

From what I read thru the forums on batteries it is fine to top off. I use AW IMR 18650s and very seldom run them below 3.7 volts and have never had any battery problems, although I think there are some chargers that won't charge if the battery is above 3.9 volts.

I personally use my batteries until the devices stop working, or change the battery if I noticed that the quality of the vape decreases appreciably. Neither scenario is harmful to the battery.

I highly recommend you get an extra battery or two just to carry around with you, fully charged of course, especially if you are on the road alot and may not find a convenient place to charge the one you have. I would also recommend carrying extra batteries in their own little plastic battery carrier. Batteries carried in pockets or purses where loose change or other metal is present can allow an electrical conduction to set up a potentially dangerous situation.

rtdvapor has a great little case for 3 or 4 dollars that you can attach to a keychain.They are also a great source for batteries, chargers and ac charger cords for your vehicle.

Extra batteries are a good idea as they need to rest before and after charging.
