Hey guys,

First I want to say thank you for having posted all the info on this site and around the net for ppl like me who must research every decision in their life before they make a commitment.
I'm new to the forum and have been vaping for over a month now. I quit analogs immediately when I started to vape not because I wanted to quit, but because I happened to have a cold at the time. If you remember smoking while you are sick it is a terrible experience. I was an avid smoker and now an avid vapor so having all the available information online has quickly transformed me from an analog smoker to an avid vapor (just shy 15ml/day). I truly feel that in the past month I have went through the withdrawal symptoms from analogs (excessive cough, morning cough with phlegm, nasal discharge, light headedness, dry lungs etc) with the exception of needing the nicotine. now one month later I am able to run without shortness of breath and play basketball like I am a teenager again. because of your input online I am healthier so once again thank you so much for helping people like me who have/are switching from analog cigs to the world of vapor.

So I discovered last week that I vape to often for the my current battery setup JoyeTech eGo C-twist/eGo-T. I use them interchangeably but usually have spent both batteries by 2:00 PM and am finding myself with trying to charge the batteries when I wish to be vaping. Because of this situation I have decided to purchase my first mod. I am expecting to spend around $300 between the mod, tank, batteries, charger, ohms meter, and rebuild supplies. the mod's I have been looking at are the KING, ORIGIN (Footoon), SCORPION (JD Tech) TURTLESHIP V2, and ASSETS V2. At this point I am leaning towards the KING(it seems to be the most sturdy from my experience at the store). I know some ppl will say that a newbie doesn't need a mod in this price range but in my field of work Image is important. I have already decided on purchasing a RSST genesis style atty but need veteran input on the mods.
Thank you for your veteran opinion.

Welcome to ECF!!

One thing about the mods you listed, they are mechs so only single vopltage, something an eGo twist already has to adjust the flavor for you. If you are looking foor a high end mod, a Provari would give you a well built classy mod but still with variable voltage.

A genesis style atty may not be your best bet for "keeping your Image" as they have a tenancy to leak and not travel well. There are a large variety of toppers that would be leak free and less apt to leave you with a large wet spot in your pocket...:)

I highly recommend getting a medium-end mechanical mod to start. 18500 batteries are a good middle ground but for an all day battery, 18650 is the way to go. King's are hot right now but because of this, they are hard to find. I would look into the Dominus Fecit. It's a sick mod and the price is about $100 cheaper than a King. If you want to go variable voltage, you could always get a kick.

Those are all mech mods, and with an "elegant" look. If that's what you want, I'd recommend you get your posts up, get "verified" and shop in the classifieds here! Those kinds of mods move through the classifieds all the time. I know I've seen a Turtleship...

I can't advise on these, as I'm a VV/VW kind of vaper.
Good luck - sounds like you're gonna get something high quality, so enjoy it!

This NICE brass Chi is there right now...just an example...

I have only been vaping for a bit over a month and already know there is a provari fan club. I do not wish to offend the provari enthusiast but it does not have an acceptable look in my line of work. I know it is the logical next step for vaporers but it still has a walmart look to it. If I did not have this job I would purchase the provari, vamo or get a wooden box mod (especially a wooden mod because IMO they look awesome). But the bottom line is that I cannot pull something out of my pocket in front of my superiors that looks like it was a prop on star wars.
