Hi all, new member here with my first mod. Its an EHPro SS Nemesis clone and I have a Nimbus rda clone on top. I'm well versed in the world of e-cigs, but still a bit new to the world of mods. I've done a ton of research (much on this forum) and understand battery safety pretty well. In only a couple days with my mod, I've built about 12 coils already (mostly for practice) and overcame some pretty nasty wicking issues. I'm currently running a 1.9ohm single micro coil wrapped around the screwdriver that came with my Atty with 30g Kanthal. For a wick I went with cotton through the middle and then basically laid around the rest of the deck to hold a bit more juice. I like the heat and TH on this build, but I would like to get a little more vapor out of it. Any suggestions on how to maintain a low heat level and moderate TH while making more vapor?

First Please make sure you read up on ohms law it will give you a better understanding of your builds and safety. pg= throat hit vg = more vaper. Depending on what juice and the mix of it will have a role in your vapor production most people use a 50/50 blend to start if you want more cloud production go with a higher vg amount example...30/70 the first # is always pg and second is the vg.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah I know ohms law well. It was hammered into my head all 4 years of highschool (Electronics 1,2,3, and independent study). I haven't even tried anything lower than .8 and I hated that, which might have had a bit to do with having a poor wick setup and using a 12mg juice which is 50/50 mix, but for the time being I'm not worried about reaching my max amps. I know that is generally considered too much nic for dripping, but I'm coming from cartos on an ego so its what I had. I'll try picking up something like a 30/70 mix and lower nic on my next purchase and then adjust my resistance down if need be. As far as airflow, the Nimbus doesn't have adjustable airflow so I will probably leave that alone until I get my Kayfun 3.1 clone that's already ordered because I would hate to drill my only atty and then not like the result. I have been making sure to align one of the two air holes with the coil to ensure max airflow over the coil.

How does a DC setup affect vapor output? I was thinking of trying a DC build with the same resistance that my current build has now that I have wicking down. Do you think that would be worth it?

When I rewicked this morning I made sure to leave a little more air space behind my coil than I have been doing and it definitely seemed to improve my vapor output. I had been leaving space under the coil and between the coil and air hole, but not much behind it. Thanks psyc63!

Anyone have any advice on going to a DC build with the same resistance? I'm thinking slightly larger diameter coils and maybe one more wrap if necessary to reach that goal if anyone thinks it may help with vapor production.
