Hello all, well this is my first post and thought I would say hello. I have only tried a friends E-cig once over a year ago but rather enjoyed it and had been considering trying it for awhile but the price was a bit too much for me. I go through a carton of analogs a week and figured the price would be just as high.

I decided to take the plunge and after doing a bit of research, decided on the Yeti-C Starter kit on sale at Altsmoke and wondering/concerned I may not have ordered enough to start with. Besides the Yeti-C Starter, I ordered an extra manual battery, another XL battery, a manual passthrough, an extra 5 cartomizers, 4 sampler 5ml juices and 1 10ml of virginia tobacco. I am starting to think I should have ordered more juice but was trying to keep the price low. What I am wondering if this setup sounds good enough for the first week or should I consider ordering 1-2 more juices. Thats the part that I am still confused about on how much I would need for a weeks worth if not more.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Firstly, welcome to the ECF, and to adress your questions, that should be enough juice unless you spill it all over the place. I think you should try Dual Coil Cartomizers dual coil cartomizer when you decide you experiment. They rock, tons of vape, first time I tried a dual coil I ended up coughing and I use to smoke a pack a day of american spirits lol.

Try some juice from nitelitevapor.us their Bounty Hunter is amazing and cheap, its like 10$ for 30ML! I orderd 10 ml (3.50 USD) and they gave me 20ML for free! lol.

Getting the right juice, may be a quest all it's own.
I highly suggest buying more juice, but from 2 or 3 different vendors.
Buy small and give them a try.
Your taste buds WILL CHANGE along the way and you may have
to adapt to those changes.
I almost ran out the second week of vaping and it's not a great place to be.
Gourmet Vapors is having a 50% off sale thru today, I believe.
GREAT place to try different flavors at a great price.
Code is "vapercon" for the 50% off.
Happy Vaping and welcome!

You've stocked up on batteries and chargers, and that's exactly what you should do. You always want to have one that's charged and ready to go, as well as back-ups and back-ups for your back-ups.

It sounds like you might need more cartomizers. What you have is probably enough for the first week, but you'll need more soon enough. It's a good idea to wait until you get the kit and see how you like the ones you've bought before buying more from them. There are many different kinds of cartos, so lots to choose from if the ones you have aren't working for you.

Juice...will be the never ending quest! Lots of people start out with tobacco flavors, and quickly realize they don't like tobacco flavors. So then they move on to sweets and fruits and mints. With all the juice vendors out there, and all the different flavors, you can experiment for a long time. That's part of the fun! Hit the sales if you can!

Welcome to ECF!

Saw your tip and decided to give them a shot ..

Island Rum & Egyptian Spice ..

shipping seemed a bit high for just 2 30ml bottles, but the 50% off was nice ..

Straenge, that setup should last at least a week. Most people use on average, I believe, 2-3mL per day. Cartomizers can be refilled a number of times (cartomizer - one piece unit combining an atomizer and cartridge; atomizer/cartridge - two pieces, separate atomizer and cart(ridge)). You can do a search here on cleaning cartomizers and refill them even more times.
While you're trying out the juices you bought, check out the vendors at the bottom of the main forum page and order some sampler packs of juice. I would suggest sticking with ordering small bottles of juice until you find the ones you like. Different people like different flavors, what may be totally awesome to someone else, may be totally awful to you.

Good luck and let us know how things work out for you.

Thanks all, I appreciate the help. I suppose my concern is being able to choose and how one can tell the nicotine amount in juice. To be honest, while I appreciate the flavors, I suppose I am rather dull. I have always appreciated a good flavored hooka but prefer the taste of a cigar, which is why I was looking at more tobacco types.

I think you should try Dual Coil Cartomizers
I suppose I didn't do enough research since this is the first I have heard of this. Are these able to run on the same Yeti 510 battery and would the charge be any different/shorter?

It sounds like you might need more cartomizers.

That hadn't occured to me. The kit itself comes with 5 and I bought a separate 5. With re-filling options, how long does a cartomizer last? I was under the impression I could use the same one for a few days with re-filling before it starts to taste off and need to be replaced.

One thing I am also doing is test driving, so to speak on the least, no-fuss and longest lasting setup and possible future modifications while being able to know how much I will be using/needing to order on a regular basis. I suppose I won't be able to know that until I actually get the product and use it for a week or two.

Thank you all again for the advice and welcome!

Also, before I forget it, I was looking at e-pipes and considering a later purchase (as well as possibly making my own). Anyone have experience with them?

Welcome and congrats!!!!!!!! I think you did really well ordering and you should be pleased. When I first started vaping I went through 10ish mls a day. Deffinately more juice to be safe and 2 boxes of cartomizers shuld do you good for a month. Don't forget to drink lots of water and ask all the questions you have :)

Welcome to the forum. IMO only couple places to get great tobacco juices. They are extracted and sold by:

Want2Vape - Acid Blondie Cigar, Alcazar, Red Pirate, London(pipe tobac) Vapenstein blend
Vaperite - APV, Perique, Rou's toasted hazelnut tobac, 777 and many others
Vapor-Age - new vendor, extracted tobacs - I am sampling them now.

When analogging, you just had to hop into the nearest Jessee James store to buy some more, but with vaping, you need to think ahead, and have a good supply of stock on hand to fill your personal needs. There are lots of great vendors and a few crappy ones, find the good ones, this is a good place to do that, and buy some juices and carts, etc. and find what suits you best and your all set...good Vaping to YOU.

Yes, they can be reused and "should" last a few days. YOu can also clean them, which is a whole 'nother ball of wax, to make them last longer.

However, if you're new to vaping, you might end up doing things like accidentally vaping too long until the carto is too dry and starts to scorch. If you scorch it, it's done and needs to be tossed right away. Or the juice you're using might clog the carto so it doesn't vape anymore. Or your cat might think the one you dropped on the floor is a cat toy and bats it under the couch where you'll never find it again because you don't know it's there.

With the ordering/waiting for shipping and waiting for the mailman, you need to plan ahead so you always have enough supplies. I'm not saying you don't have enough cartos; I'm saying order them sooner than you might think you need them.

Have you found Jazz cartopipe the first Cartomizer Pipe yet? I haven't used any e-pipes; but this vendor seems to be popular.

That pipe is pretty sharp looking, but if you only care about performance this is a much better deal and is rather sharp in its own I am a box kinda way:

Assembled 510 Box Mod Kit

If you want to go real cheap and are interested in building your own they even sell a kit just for the box:
510 Box Mod Kit
* If you look around on the site you will find the charger they send with the kit for $5 and the batteries for like 5-6$

The cartos you got now will screw right on to either one. I love my box mod and it saves me tons of money by using CHEAP batteries that aren't low quality. They last way longer than the slim batteries just by having higher capacity, which means going through the charge cycles slower. If you find yourself wanting a better throat hit, more vapor or warmer vapor you can pick up some 1.6 ohm dual coil cartos and use on it. The e-power is another cheap option for a bigger model, but has quality issues so I wouldn't recommend it. I would get a box and well did myself :)

These ship from china and take ages to arrive, but 17$ gets me a years supply (6 batteries).

Just wanted to tell everyone thank you all for the advice. I got my Yeti-C in the mail today and think I may have already went through a cart using the Passthrough. However, I am concerned about the charger. This unit did not come with instructions so I wasn't quite sure about it.

Edit: Got in contact with them (Great Customer Service!) and they explained to me about the buttons.

Now I just need to figure out when to refill/change carts.

I haven't seen that company before, no but I have seen others like it. Really nice actually even though price seems a bit steep but I suppose it is worth it. Now I am wondering if anyone would be interested in a steampunk version of this or something like a mod, possibly a sleeve for something they have already. I was and still do quite a bit of tinkering in my workshop and have spent about 10 years making clockwork jewelry and props and this could be a future project.
