First Post Hello and Question about Protank 2 Problem

Hi to all. First post, but been a member for a while. Got alot of good info from here, so thanks for that!!

Anyway, reason for my post, I recently purchased 3 Protank 2's and have had problems with each of them. Same issue. Seems that I have to unscrew the bottom and rescrew it at least 5-6 times before it seems to thread properly enough so that the coil unit makes contact with the Provari and I get power to the tank.

The company I've bought them from has been outstanding and has offered me a credit at the store so no complaints from that perspective. He agrees with me, that 3 out of 3 are pretty bad odds that the unit's are screwed up. I'm convinced it's either the threading on the end cap or the tank itself. Has anyone run into this problem??

Thanks in advance for any feedback. I've googled it, but haven't seen anyone else run across this problem.

So is it a threading issue on the 510 connector, or just issues with getting it to fire when its installed?

If its a firing issue, since im on protank attempted tech support tonight....lol

Extend the contact pins on your protank heads, should work:

Remove the head from the PT base or grab your spare head.

Work your fingernail between the connector pin and the grommet. (see pic 1)

Gently work the pin a few mm out of the rubber grommet. (see pic 2)

Then reinstall the head in the PT base, and reassemble the tank.

The contact pin should now adjust itself to the proper height (ie push in) and it should fire.

Thank you! I'll look at that along with the pin tomorrow. I love the variable battery & for the most part the ProTank - I have a tendency to unscrew the entire bottom & spill juice everywhere.

I am fortunate to have an experienced vaper as a friend & resource for most of my issues. When we went to a new store in town to get my kit, the owner made me show him that I understood the 5x turn on/turn off before I left, so I haven't forgotten that one.

Thanks! That worked like a charm. Shouldn't have to frig around with this though IMO.
