First Post here! New Vaper! (Sigelei #3 question)

Hey guys, i started vaping about a month ago, theres a local shop near me called "Liberty Vapor" that helped me get set up with an innokin starter kit, now im on an MVP 2 witha trident RDA. I'm also taking a wack at DIY E-juice. I was a pack a day smoker for about 2 years and a smoker for a 5. After numbers of tries at quitting and failing many times I've finally kicked the habit and im 3 weeks without a cigarette! Last February i went to the philippines to visit some family and was surpised to see all the 'Vape" shops. I tried it for the first time there and ended up borrowing my cousins the whole time i was there and not smoking cigarettes! Anyway!
I just ordered a sigelei #3 Mechanical to go with my Trident (1.4 ohms) I was curious if any one has one and can give me some feedback on the bad boy? Anyway this forum seems awesome and can't wait to be a part of the community!

Personally, I like 2.2 ohm coils on a variable battery, I keep it around 4V: at 1.8 or lower, I can burn a coil, or burn out a coil, really easily-- like a day or two (my lucks bad). I don't do RBA's yet, although I'm thinking of some (Magneto vape production is a beast-- you need a hit, it'll give it to you). I'm closing in on six months smoke free, and grats on being free and clean-- those first weeks are the worst, from my memory. Nowdays? Couldn't pay me to light up a cig- tastes like ... (unlike my sweet strawberrybanana watermelon smoothie mix ) and smells like death G'luck, and happy vaping.

I'm not actually familiar with the #3.

If you have a look at the 'family', you might be able to find some that are similar,

E.g. at a guess the 1, 2, 3, 36, and 38 have a similar if not identical switch design... You might then find some helpful information about them in this epic thread, but it'll take some digging...

Thanks guys, why am i unable to make a new topic in any other forum? I also upgraded to a nemesis mod, way better than the sigelei, with the #3 it takes a couple of primer hits to get the thing going. I'm also getting into RBA's and the guys at Liberty Vapor have been teaching me how to wrap coils. I'm still getting the hang of it, withe first wrap is the hardest for me, I'm going to go buy a butane torch at harbor freigh tomorrow.

I'm also looking for some juice that is as close to real cigarette as it gets, nothing ive tried really does it for me, i do enjoy the fruity flavors (Purple Rain over at Libery Vapor.net is fabulous!) I live right near the actual shop but you can order from them too! great group of guys over there!

Never heard of the mods your talking about as i am new to vaping also. However i can answer one question: You cant post in other category until you reach 5 posts. Its to keep down their spam. 3 more and you will have your freedom! Post on!

That setup will be killer as the trident works great with just about every mech mod out their. If ya drop the build resistance to about 1, itll vape like never before!

I'm getting better at wrapping, but how do you determine the ohm? I wrapped a coil 4 days ago and it read 1.7, i wrapped a new one and yesterday it read 1.1, vaped AMAZING! So warm and cloud like!

Also when you coils start to get that burnt taste how do you clean it? this is only a 1 day old coil so i know its not a bad coil, i hear the term dry burn, but wouldnt that just cause more oxidation thus adding to the burnt taste?

I dry burn my iclear30 coils, I just attach the coil back to the coil base, and straight on my mod. You burn off all the "gunk". I rinse after and they taste like the day I got them.
