You want the AW IMR 18490 batteries, not the 18500s. The 18500s will be too tall, they fit in the Woodvil and the REO Grand.

LOL, you are thinking of the 18650 batteries. The AW IMR 18490 batteries are also referred to as AW IMR 18500 batteries on some of the sites. :)

The numbering system works like this:

18500 = 18 mm in diameter and 50.0 mm in length
18650 = 18 mm in diameter and 65.0 mm in length
14500 = 14 mm in diameter and 50.0 mm in length

The actual length varies +/- 2mm

From the Reo site "It runs on one AW IMR 18490 3.7 volt battery"

Here are some in the US and if you look at the photo they say 18490
AW IMR 18490 Battery

I do believe 18500 and 18490 may actually refer to the same batteries - some list them as 18490/18500. But I am not sure.

And since it's a new model - here is a Reo forum. They would know if you specifically need ones labeled 18490 and whether or not you need ones with the nipple/bump on the positive end.

You need 5 non-spammed non-sequential actual-content posts or replies in New Members then a 1 hour wait. Then you'll be able to post in the Reo forum, in the Australia forum in National Forums, send PMs, etc

But AW IMR is exactly the kind you want to buy. They are safe-chemistry batteries and they hold the voltage up better than protected Li Ions.

Hi all,
Many thanks for all of your help.
I have bought the recomended batteries and a matching smart charger.
Now I wait on the mail man.
The next search will be for the right cartomizer or atomizer to go on my new bottom feeder.
But I think that is a different thread.

Many Thanks to You All

The Smoktech 1.7 ohm resurrector cartomizers are nice, as are the Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers. Cartomizers are, in general, pretty easy to keep moist without overfilling or drying out. For atomizers, the 510s are easier for learning how to "squonk" and I like the Cisco 2 ohm 510's, especially for sweeter juices. The Cisco 1.5 ohm 306 is my favorite atomizer, but it is a little trickier (has a smaller tolerance between dry and flooded) so you might burn through a few getting the hang of it.
