Well, I went ahead and purchased a kit from my local b & M today. It is a V-GO. It came with two 650mah EGO type batteries and two XL cartomizer that use the larger thread on the connection. With charger it ran me $55...but I'm impatient and like the instant gratification of holding stuff in my hand. Here are pics:

This cartomizer fits over the larger thread and connects inside. Am I correct in assuming this is a 901 connection (the inner)?
The replacements I saw for it were smaller and fit the smaller/inner connections.

Anyone have any good experience with these? What type of attachments and things can I get for this?

Loving it so far! Happy vaping!!!

Any specific accessories you recommend?

Depends what you like really. I'd suggest an atomizer, maybe a mini Vision vivi nova with an adapter, a T3 clearomizer - either with an adapter or wait until the 808 version drops at Smokeless Image, and have a bunch of cartomizers.

If you want to mess with the ViVis with adapters or ones made for KR808...they will work on the vGo fine. Personally I don't recommend them, and prefer a cartomizer system for ease of use and durability. I have 4 of the vGo...and about 8 of the X2s...they were my first "intermediate" PV. Got them about a year ago before I ever got the 510 eGo . If those were made by Kanger (probably) they take the KR808D-1 threaded cartomizers and tanks. You can use a 808/901 to 510 adapter if you want, and it's fine. Do use the cone, it protects the threading and improves the draw. This is the same basic set up as the SI Volt X2. Very high quality for it's type.

Highly recommend the Kanger horizonal bottom coil cartomizers. You can use the dual coils on them...but as all dual coils will do, they shorten your battery charge life and eat juice like mad. Not to mention "dry hits" and burning. But they do work..even at 1.5ohm (but don't go any lower with DC ohms with the vGo).

Good luck! I dearly loved my vGos for many months...and still use them from time to time, although I admit I've mostly moved on to the bigger mods now.
