Hey guys, i purchased my first rba the other day from Kidney Puncher, and i was wondering what your thoughts were. also, i was wondering what kind of battery life i can expect with the 18350's. i don't plan on building "sub-ohm" coils just yet. aiming for around 1.8, 2.0. here is what i got and it will be going on an Astro mechanical mod.

AGA-T2 (stock hole in cap)
Efest IMR 18350 Flat Top x2
510 Ohm Meter Model 1
xtar XP1 Charger

this is just to get me started.

Good setup. Just be mindful of your coil. I'd advise taking it off and checking resistance periodically. One you get accustomed to what you're looking for in coils, you won't have to do that.. unless you'll feel more comfortable doing so. I'm pretty sure those batteries have an 8 amp continuous rating, so theoretically, you can safely use 0.6ohm coils at full charge, but I like to give a little wiggle room with continuous ratings.

The 510ohmmeters are good to build on, but I recommend finding a way to borrow a good multimeter/ohmmeter to see how off it is. Starting out at standard resistance will be good for it. It shouldn't be off by more than 500miliohms.

Ok...here goes....

Take the AGA-T2 and put some juice in it,....Find your shiniest mod and plop it on top and take some "selfies" with it to post on forums and what not. Put it back in the box and forget about it. That'll be the best experience with it you will have and save yourself alot of headache.

As always: just my two cents. ;)

Oh, as for the Astro mechanical....Good choice. See if you can send back the efest batt's though and order some sony us18650's or some mnke 18650. You're gonna need them real soon if you are going to start building your own coils.

Everything sounds good so far.
You just cant really push a 18350 like you can a good 18650. This is why I got rid of my Noble 1. I run MNKE 18650's in all my mechs. If you are gonna go sub ohm you will need the batteries for it.
Also with your builds I think PERSONALLY 2.0ohms is a little high for a mech. It will take some practice and good batteries but when you have it down there will be no turning back.
I have no experience with the AGA, I have a RSST and love it. The RSST is really easy to build, the only downside I have with it is the plastic tank. I was thinking about buying a AGA-T2 from work but I am not sure about it... I might just get a Kraken clone for my duel coil genny builds.
Also what are you going to use as wick? I use sterile cotton in everything. I mean everything my even my gennys....

Just to clarify the efest 18350's have a amp load of 6.4 and should never be used under .75ohm. which wont be a problem for the OP as they wanna use lr to sr ohm's. I do also agree with those that say best best for a mechanical is 18650's even using the efest series will give you a better buffer on the amp load when rebuilding.

I however love the aga-t2, it's my all day vape using a .8ohm twisted coil on ss mesh. on a k100 with aw imr 18650's.

I will be giving cotton a go. But I want to try the mesh first. Seeing as it comes with some. (I've never tried it, and I'm curious) I use cotton in my protank for my flavor wicks and love it.

I do plan on getting some 18650's and some 18500's in the very near future. I'm just going for stealth right now since the Astro is so small.

AGA-T2 is a good quality RTA. Mine is a few months old and still like new.
I have other RTA clones that are junky quality.
I've kept stock AGA air hole and use it for warm quality vape.
Horizontal and vertical coils.

efest 18350 is a good 18350. Mine has about 0.35v drop across 1.6 ohms.

I vaped w/ only 18350 for about 2 years at around 2 amps; no problem.

I enjoy 18650 and 18350 on a few mechs under several RBAs now days. If I had to pick one it'd be 18650 pushing a cloud machine RTA.

No question about the quality of the materials. It's just a P.I.T.A. to rebuild, especially if your not used to building geni type RBA's

I am still new, so I cannot recommend anything on rba's

However you can save some $$$ if you have a multimeter. I bought the ohm tester then found out I just need a multi meter. Returned the tester today as I have at least 3 multimeters laying around, I never even thought about using one till I read it on the forums.

Charger, go with nitecore or xtar, depending on what you want to spend. I'm sure the one you listed is fine

Good luck with your build
