Hi

I'm interested in getting into rebuilding. I currently have a couple of the Aspire BDC clearomisers but the heads look way too fiddly to be rebuilding.

I was interested in perhaps a Kanger Protank 2 or 3 to start off rebuilding those heads. Alternative would be another type of rta designed for rebuilding.

I'm looking for something with a reasonably tight draw, not too dissimilar to the clearomisers I already have. Also I don't want to start ripping through ejuice so I'm not fussed about sub ohms and cloud chasing. Just looking to save money on the replaceable heads.

What would be a good starting rta or standard clearomiser where I could rebuild the heads?

Thanks :)

I'm going to recommend something different to what most people recommend.

If you can afford it, an aurhentic GP Spheroid or Heron or a Prometey v3 from Titanium Mods.

If you're on a budget, a Tobeco Prometey v2 clone.

Why? Amazing flavor, ridiculously easy to build, anytime easy access to the deck. All metal tank so bullet proof.

And you can buy sera wool aquarium stuff for it instead of ordering fluff from the vendors.

How is the pound holding to the euro? Right now for those of us in the US, the dollar is strong to the euro, which makes ordering from Europe worthwhile.

This outlet GP Spheroid, which was over polished by 0.04mm would cost me $60 right now. Great flavor, tightish airflow, easy set up:

The ones I recommended are "dripper tanks". Size and capacity of a tank but the liquid is held in by a filler material and slowly drips through the wick. So you don't do the dripping :). And they last as long between refills as a tank with the same capacity.

Also look at a Lemo for your price range. Mark Todd reviewed it so I know its available there.

I'd suggest the Kanger Subtank Mini. If you're just getting into rebuilding it'd be a good starting point. Inexpensive (around $35) and comes with 2 factory coils (0.5 & 1.2Ω) and also a rebuildable deck. This way, if you get frustrated with building it you can just pop in a factory coil and vape away.

the kayfun made by ehpro(clone) is cheap and works great and is easy to build. i just got the kanger subtank mini and now my kayfuns are sitting on the sidelines. BTW the subtank factory coils are really easy to rebuild so its cheap to maintain. :toast:

The Lemo had caught my eye I must admit. Plus I like Todds Reviews, he's great.

Yes that's another on my shortlist I was just concerned the airflow might be too much. I'd want to build between 1.5 and 2 ohms which would require a tighter draw at the lower voltages. Possibly.

So many choices!

Get the protank2 or miniprotank2, and I wouldn't bother about rebuilding the heads much, just rewick them.

There is the subtank; which comes with replaceable heads as well as a head designed for rebuilding, so you have a choice.
