First juice review on here, and I am sure it won't be my last. I have more from these vendors and many more on the way from other vendors.

Background on me (feel free to skip to reviews)

I certainly won't go into the whole bio, but as far as flavors go there are many areas where I love to try and even review different products. I am an avid cook, I love all kinds of coffee, beer, wine, and scotch, and I have been an regular smoker of cigars, pipes, and cigarettes for 18 years (quit about 10 months ago). So let's just say I love things of all flavors, and vaping certainly falls into that category.

Equipment

I have multiple devices, but for review purposes I am using a Volcano Lavatube V2 with a Vivi Nova 2.5 tank/atomizer (mostly due to ease of cleaning and filling). Resistance is 2.4 Ohms, and I vary voltage depending on the e juice.

Testing Procedure

If the vendor recommends steeping, I steep for the recommended time. If not, I don't (like AVE who states they don't need steeping). I always cleanse my palate. This is done by drinking cold water, then lemon water (one wedge or a few drops of lemon juice), then cold water again. This is something I think most vapors should do and really affects their tastes on certain juices, especially complex ones. IMO some people state that certain juices lose their flavor or change when it's really their palate that has changed. Anyway, my method is sort of a tried and true method for all kinds of flavors, not just vapor. Ginger can also be used, but I hate ginger. You can use ginger ale, but I am not a fan of sweetener (be it artificial or natural) when trying to cleanse my palate. I know, cleansing palate sounds like something you find at a restaurant only stuffy people go to, but trust me, it works. In fact, I find it incredibly effective for vaping.

Reviews

Alien Visions

All have copious amounts of vapor and a mild throat hit unless otherwise noted. All are 100% VG.

Boba's Bounty (12 mg) - I know, beating a dead horse here, but hey, might as well do it. I get a very nice honey flavor. Under that is a mellow pipe tobacco with hints of vanilla and some nuttiness (Hazelnut and maybe pecan, but tough to nail down). I really enjoyed this and can see why others love it. I don't get raisins or graham crackers like some. Anyway, highly recommended.
Blend 4 (12 mg) - This one is going to be tough for me because of the flavor I don't care for, and that is the flowery nature of the tobacco. So I didn't take time to go into all the undertones since I simply could not get past the flowery nature of this. It's not bad, but not my thing. Up to you if you are ok with a flowery tobacco
555 (12 mg) - Now this is a real tobacco, and a very classic, lightly sweet tobacco. It reminds me of some smoke shop tobaccos I have tried. A very smooth, rich tobacco (and a good one) is certainly the main flavor here, with an underlying sweetness (caramel and a touch of honey). There is also a hint of vanilla and some hazelnut. This also had a slightly stronger throat hit than the others, but not harsh. I highly recommend this one.
Christie's Cappuccino (12 mg) - First, I will state I LOVE coffee of all kinds. I am a coffee junky, which makes finding a good coffee style vape frustrating. Sadly, this did not solve my issue (many more coffee flavors on the way, so hopefully it gets better). Anyway, what I get is a strong initial hit of cane sugar. Then the cappuccino taste comes in, but it's very light. It tastes like a weak cappuccino made with coffee instead of a robust espresso. There are no bad flavors here, and it is definitely a cappuccino and not just coffee, but it's just not robust enough. I can't really recommend this unless you like weaker versions of cappuccino with plenty of sugar.

ECBlend

All had good vapor and moderate throat hit unless otherwise noted. I also have many more from ECBlend and I will touch on them in another review. All are 50/50 PG/VG and 18 mg nic.

Cold Cherry Cola - I really enjoy cherry cola, and wanted to try this. Yet the cold in the name worried me. Sure enough, that means mint. I get peppermint and some menthol, and it is the main flavor here. The cola tastes like RC cola with maybe too much syrup, and I can't even detect the cherry. I cannot recommend this, especially since I am not a menthol fan, and to a less extent peppermint.
Buttered Keoke Rum Coffee - Ugh, cheap alcohol is what I get and I didn't bother with the other flavors. I didn't vape this for long and I will let it steep for a while and revisit it.

DeejStuff

All good vapor and strong throat hit. I did order higher nicotine here to try it out, and added a flavor kick to all so this does vary some from my usual. So take some of this with a grain of salt since this is different than my usual 12-18 mg nic. All are 50/50. I also have more from them and will do more in another review.

Cappuccino - I will note this is a very dark juice, and for some reason I like that with coffee flavors even though it probably means nothing. I do get a strong coffee. Nothing special, like a simple Folgers. Yet then the problem kicks in. Burnt taste. I even changed out the atomizer/wick, cleaned up everything, tried again, and yep, burnt taste. Cleaned everything again and tried a new juice and no burnt taste. Definitely the juice. Cannot recommend.
Peanut Butter Cup - The best comparison I can make to this are those low carb or fitness peanut butter cups. It takes like peanut butter sweetened with artificial sweetener and any chocolate is very muted. It's actually ok and I can vape it. It's just not like a Reese's peanut butter cup. Cannot recommend.

NicQuid

Ordered a ViviNova from AltSmoke and decided to throw in some juice. They sell NicQuid. This is local stuff made in Ohio so I wanted to give it a shot even though I haven't read much about it.

Chocolate (12mg) - Tastes like unsweetened baker's chocolate. That's really it, and anyone that has tasted baker's chocolate knows that is not good. Cannot recommend.
Mint Chocolate Chip (18mg) - When I first vaped it there was a taste much like a thin mint, but then a menthol taste overtook the flavor. If not for that it would actually be pretty decent. Cannot recommend.
Butterscotch (12mg) - Nailed this one. It is dead on those clear plastic wrapped butterscotch candies. Pretty good. Not an all day vape, but for a butterscotch, it's nice. I recommend.

Volcano

Hey, came with the Lavatube V2. I don't have the bottle anymore, but IIRC it's 70/30 and was 18mg.

Tobacco - OK vapor, harsh throat hit. Tastes like a cheap cigar. It actually reminds me of my college days when we used to play poker and smoke those cheap backwoods cigars from the local convenient store. Cannot recommend.

Whew, I think that is it. Feel free to critique and sorry for the length. I will make more in the future.
