Got this today and couldn't resist. As soon as I saw the wide open deck on one side, I had to give this a try! :D
Not the best work, but good enough for awesome vape.

Vertical cotton makes perfect sense for bottom feed. :D

I grabbed whatever was near by. :)
28gauge on 5/64" bit @ 2 x 6 wraps. Came out to ~1.8. Little higher than straight 11/12 wrap. Might be due to extra length for the bridge. Also, I am not used to making the leg this long. So, all these added length threw me off a bit on calculation.

For real setup, I would do 4 wraps on 28gauge or 5 wraps on 26gauge. For now, I am little preoccupied with squonking. :D

Oh man, whatever you do, you do not want to end up on that list....

:p

Now you are making me worried. :homy:
Is there some rules that I broke by posting the coil pic? 8-o

OOH, so you're "one of those" list! J/K

I'm on the list and have a list, love to play with different coils builds and types. thanks for sharing, that looks cool.

looks like an idea, but looks hard to put the cotton in right and is it goin to block the juice hole?

I tried it with 2x4 wraps of 28 ga, 1.2 ohms. Wicked up through the right side and down through the left, doesn't block juice hole at all. Actually works pretty good, the hardest part for me was getting both coils sitting just where I wanted them.

Very cool, good to see just how flexible the reomizer truly is.

Are you just wrapping one leg around the screw and the other through the hole?

It's all one wire, I made an 8 wrap coil then split it just like the OP. I did not however take a pic before I wicked it, just wanted to have a vape.

Cotton wicking on this setup actually works pretty good. I threaded two cottons and "fan" them out below the coil. After that, tuck them away from the hole. This made the wick act like spread out tree root and delivers juice better. Less chance of "juice puddle" in the wick.
Oh, I love how the overfill just drains back down to the bottle!

RM2 is half size of other RDAs but hitting really (really) hard! Love it!

You can definitely do that and it would be much easier. I actually did two separate wraps. Mainly to avoid a bend on the bridge. If you look at my coil pic, the bridge is straight and wraps in reversed direction on the other side.
Either way would work fine and deliver awesome vape.

The List is my to do list once I order and have my excess RM2 and in some instances my Reo Grand...

There are a few... for example I want to try Pdibbs 4 barrel coil... 1 coil 4 wicks... though i think i would NEED twisted 26 gauge to keep the ohms low on that one...

I want to try the diamond... but i dont think its going to work...

Another one is the Claw by Xobeloot... but upside down, not a fan of throat hit...

There are a bunch of things I want to experiment with... muahahahaha

How does the coil heat up? Do both coils heat from the middle of the coil out like a typical coil does?

Looks like it. I just took these pics before tearing it down for rebuild.

When it just fires. Growing red evenly between the two coils.

And when it is fully heating up

i built this yesturday. flavor is unbelievable! like 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 like never before. 26g 5 wraps per coil. meters out at .9ohms. i never get a burning wick. but while flavor is so good for some reason i get a little less vapor production. on the bottom part of wick i just tucked it under the coil to the center of the bowl. never goes into the juice hole.
