I tried the dual and think I like it. Made a two 3 wrap sections of 28 ga kanthal around a 1.5mm jig. This came in at .98 ohms. I think I'm going to try nichrome next to see if I can lower ohms but keep the wraps.
I have been using this setup all day today. Mainly to test out the air hole position and juice flow on the deck. I am still a noob when it comes to squonking!
I tilted the coil slightly for better juice flow. (Making it look like a rocket launcher) The cotton "fan" tail does make a big difference in amount of juice I can hold on the deck. Also I noticed the coil was burning really clean even after a full day of vaping with dark juices.
"Rocket" coil. I like it!
For more flavor, you would need to have some wick under the coil. This traps the juice steam and provide more flavor. Sort of like caramelizing the juice. So, you need a "launch pad" under the rocket. sorry, couldn't help it.
I kept the deck clean to see how the juice was flowing on it. This setup definitely burns cleaner and produce more vapor, but reduces flavor strength.
If you are going to re-wick the coil, try extending the top wick and tuck it under the coil. Leave the tail wick the same. Should give you more flavor.
