First stovetop coils

Made my first stovetop coils today. Came out to .4 ohms. Critques and questions welcome.

Those things are a pain to build, but mostly because I'm an .... retentive perfectionist.

My wife was playing around with building them the other day and got like .41-.42 ohms.

Need to get her to build them again and take pics. Might be a minute because she just made herself a vertical quad stack last night that she's banging out on at work.

Here is a dual coil I made using 28ga kanthal, and sugar'n cream cotton yarn...

Waiting on 26 and 24ga kanthal to come in

Defiantly want to remake the tool once I get 2-56 tap and dies.
This will make smaller center holes in the coil.

Oh these are perfect, all I have to do is use a dremel cutting wheel to make a slot for the center wire to lay in. Then just tighten it to the wire thickness and wrap.

Ok got the thumb nuts in last night, wrapped two 2.0 ohm coils out of 28ga, so the dual coil came out at 1.0ohms.

The thumb nuts I ordered from the link above...

The Pieces, cut a slot in one of the barrel nuts with my demel.
