I finally took the leap and bought a liter of 100%VG, 100ml/mg nicotine. Trying to buy a few flavorings for my first batch and have found a muffin man clone that only uses FA Fuji Apple, FW Cinnamon Roll, and Ethyl Matol 10%. Has anyone else tried this recipe? I enjoy the majority of flavors I've had with a similar flavor profile and this would be an awesome, simple first mix if it is actually good. Any feedback or suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
There are clones all over the web , most are terrible , imo great recipes usually contain quite a few flavors and the best ones i have had have between 5 and 6 at varying percentages .

At least your going with flavorings that you know you will need for your recipes instead of buying blind . FA flavors are excellent so i would use a DIY calculator and mix the recipe up .

Make sure your careful with the nicotine , i would of ordered some PG with the VG but you got what you got.

I have not tried that recipe so can't give you feedback but the below website has some great recipes.

I think that's a fine one to start out with. Simple is best, and those flavors will make a nice vape as long as you measure correctly. Do you have syringes and/or graduated cylinders? Exactitude will be important for repeating your successes.

The other advice I'll give you concerns that nic base you've bought. It will be thick and a little hard to work with, and you'll want to make sure it's thoroughly mixed. Warm the liter bottle in hot tap water for a good 15-20 minutes then shake it thoroughly for a minute or two. Then transfer it to smaller containers right away. 250mL colored canning jars or Boston rounds work well. Keep one in a dark cabinet, and the rest in the freezer. This will make it easier to warm the liquid for better measuring and mixing.

Definitely get some plain vg and pg as you will not be able to use that 100mg/ml straight. I use ejuice Me Up calculator from eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator Very easy and it gives you a place to take LOTS of notes. Also, I would get separate syringes for each flavor, nic, pg, and vg so you do not cross contaminate each ingredient. +1 on transferring to other bottles and sticking them in the freezer for your overstock. Just remember to take the next bottle out and let it get to room temperature before use to make it easier on you. Thanks for the responses! I did buy about 16oz of VG to start out with. I prefer Max VG liquids just for the minimal throat hit. I also have the extra glass bottles for freezing/storing, and a slew of syringes for mixing until I get a digital scale. I was looking for a very basic/simple first recipe just to get started so that I could have something vapable while I experimented with more complex mixes. I'm sure this will become my new obsession for a while to come so I'm excited. All of my supplies will be here tomorrow, just no flavorings to do anything with them :(.

Plenty of fun ahead, then! Mix up a little batch of unflavored while you're waiting, for the practice. It's also useful for diluting, when you're trying new flavors and they come out a little strong for your taste.

One last tip: be sure to wash those storage bottles beforehand. If you've bought them new, or if they've been sitting around a while, they might have contaminating dust. Pretty basic stuff, I know, but it's easy to forget the little things when you're excited to get started.

Hi @mtbason35. Your choice of PG/VG is purely personal, so I won't even get into that. Try the following percentages, it works for me ;)

I use Nude Nic and don't like the throat hit some nics give. Made this recipe several times and really enjoy it, so do my friends. LOL Usually let steep for 1 week.

Let me know what you think of it.

That sounds pretty yummy. May have to give it a try. I would probably add a lil Vanilla Swirl or Custard of some sort to it to creamy it up a lil bit and leave out the EM, but that's just me.
Isn't that what we are supposed to do. Point you in a direction and let you follow???? ;)
I hear ya on the custards, my friends love it the way it is and a little less steeping time is probably why they like it this way. LMAO

Thanks for the pointers! I have only ordered the cinnamon roll, Fuji Apple, and EM as of right now. Currently building a list for a larger variety of flavorings based off of several different recipes and reviews. The DIY crowd has been very helpful so far!
