Hello,

I decided to get into the whole vaping realm and got started by ordering a 1000 mah ego twist along with a Vision Clearomizer 2.0. However, when it arrived in the mail and I dropped some e-liquid in, I got a very burnt taste right away (tasted like a burnt match). I took the clearomizer out and cleaned it, then tried to really saturate the wick and again, very burnt. I went ahead and bought two new replacement coils (which came today), really saturated the wicks and made sure not to over or under fill, set the voltage on the battery all the way down to 3.2V, and unfortunately, still the same strong burnt taste. I'm sure that the eliquid is fine as I tried it on my friend's build and that worked fine. I'm pretty frustrated as I've waited for two shipments over a month-long period to enjoy this awesome juice, so any help would be appreciated. Is it probably the battery, or could it be something more complex?

Thanks guys,

Bruno

It's far more likely to be your clearomiser than either the battery or liquid.

Vision V2 is really old technology, so much so, I am surprised you bought that model.

I think I had one (or two?) and even without the burning taste, it was dead in under 24 hours anyway.

Thanks for the reply. It was one of the highest rated tanks on myvaporstore.com, so I thought it'd be all right hahah.
Anything you would recommend for a newbie? I saw that the Vivi Nova Mini had pretty good feedback, but I don't really know anything (as you can probably tell).

Yes. Rule no.1 on e-cig stores...Don't trust the review on the stores - they'll say anything and are happy to leave reviews from 3 years ago.
It's a piece of almost-junk. .
If the Vivi Novas are BDC, avoid them as well.

The liquid is 50/50 I believe. Anything that you could recommend for an ego twist? I really don't want to repeat these lousy orders that just end up with me being disappointed, you know?

I definitely understand what you mean about being disappointed with orders. It's happen to me many times- and we won't even talk about the eliquid orders. Try a few drops of distilled water. That might help.

I had the same experience a long time ago. I usually ask on ecf before I buy anything anymore because I find it saves me money when I get a second opinion.
