First Week Update

A full week into vaping and I thought I'd share my progress.

I'm still not 100% off of analogs - I'm smoking about one or two a day, but that is a major improvement over my pack-a-day routine! Almost all of those smokes could should have been avoided, but I had almost a full pack sitting in my desk drawer and was too easy to light one up. I'm going to be strong and light up my last one before bed and throw out the rest of the pack. I'm actually amazed at how horrible they taste after vaping all day!!

Enough with the smoke talk and on to the fun stuff - juice! I cannot believe how much I'm enjoying all of these wonderful flavors that are out there. I initially thought I wouldn't care for sweet or fruit flavored juices, but I am finding that I enjoy these more than the tobacco flavors. I've already have about 12 different flavors (5ml samples) and I have 10 more on the way. I have to start setting limits on how much I order in a month!:)

Overall, I am very pleased with my vaping experience so far and am excited to finally kick the ciggs!

That is WONDRFUL! lots of great stuff / devices and eliquid to ejoy! I love VaporBeast eliquid! More of a premium juice at reasonable prices. MadVapes is my choice for inexpensive but nice juice! Have fun and congratulations! You MUST try Melon Head from VapoBeast!

Welcome to ECF! And KUDOS to you! You are doing very very well! Don't worry so much about how much you smoke while you're looking for your sweet spot in vaping. There'll be a day when you'd MUCH rather have a vape than a smoke. Give yourself some time to find those juices that you just LOVE to vape, and analogs will be a thing of the past!

Flavors are the fun part of experimenting..... and the most expensive! LOL I think I have spent more on trying out different flavors than I did on my starter kit.

Congratulations on the week! You will soon be analog free, one day you will shock yourself when you don't pick up that pack of analogs and do pick up the ecig instead.

I go days and sometimes a week and then smoke one. I'm not concerned. I'm finally at a point where I prefer the vape. What happens to me is if I say "I quit, I'm not going to have a cigarette", I kind of have an anxiety attack. In order to keep vaping and not go back to smoking altogether this time, I'm not quitting. I'll smoke if I want. I'm just finding that they taste like a pirate's booty and I don't want them anymore.

Don't stress yourself out about quitting, just vape and it will take over.

The hardest time for me is in the morning and i light up because the cigs were in the drawer. I am going to remedy the situation by getting a device for home that can get me by the urge to smoke in the morning. Something along the lines of a lava tube or something that works like that. I have the inferno with clearo's on them now and that is great for the rest of the day. I do not know all the language yet but good luck kicking the analogs completely!

Lol, Scott! I hear that - it could be pouring outside and I'll still walk myself down 6 flights of stairs and outside the building to vape under a tree!

Congrats, Commuter! The ECF community's got your back and that's right - count the analogs you havent smoked, not the ones you have! A month and a few days analog free here - not cause I thought I had to, but because I just didn't feel like it. After a while it really does boil down to "do I want to smoke an ashtray or vape something delicious?" your brain will make the right choice in time...

Great advice!

Over the past 3 months or so since I quit I've had a few analogs. I don't stress about it and am building more and more confidence that I have actually quit for good because I have no problem going straight back to vaping.

When I quit, I had a half pack opened, and about 7 packs in the carton I was working on. I still keep them in their usual place in the garage (that's where I went to smoke). Not only do analogs taste bad now, but imagine how bad those stale analogs are after 3 months baking in the summer heat.
