Hello everyone.

I got my joye 510 and smoked my last cigg at 6:00pm Tuesday last week :D

I can't tell you how easy it was to quit ciggs. The last time I tried to cold turkey it I was smoking the next day.

Yesterday was kinda hard though. I got that tight chest feeling where I really wanted to smoke a cigg. I was vaping all day long and it was miserable since I wasn't getting a consistent throat hit and failed to mod my cart is a desperate attempt to fix the inconsistency. Anyways that day is behind me and I'm waiting for the one week mark to tick over.

Wanted to say hi to everyone and ask whether or not you guys and gals had any physical withdraw symptoms from ciggs while vaping since I didn't till almost a week later.

I Know this has nothing to do with withdrawal after ecig usage, but think of what you are going through now and that if you keep on vaping that feeling will lessen in time. You will not go through that day again. When I went cold turkey, I concentrated on the gnawing inside of me, and it made me more determined not to go through that day again. You can only take one instance at a time. I vape now for medical reasons, just enough nic to, I hope, do the job I set for it.

I really don't believe I was addicted to the nicotine at all.

I made the switch to zero nic and haven't looked back. As long as the juice flavor is good, good vapor I am a happy camper!

Apparently, my addiction to cigarettes was all about the oral stimulation and visual....it's really no wonder why all the other smoking cessation products never worked for me.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations for taking the big step and quitting.

I was a smoker for 29 years and the way I quit was to vape and smoke at the same time. After a while the vaping became more and the smoking became less because I found that I was liking the taste of the the e-liquid more then the analog. Finally I could only get through 1/4 of an analoge before I would say yech and and grab my e-cig with one of my favorite e-liquids.

I had no withdrawal problems at all and and am now down to a super low level of nic.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone.

I've been feeling fine since that day. I was reading the symptoms page AlexTM linked, thanks for that, and if I diagnosed it right it could of been a withdrawal from a chemical other than nicotine... that or it was my body ridding itself of something. I did notice flem(sp?) with brown bits the next morning. I noticed that after quitting ciggs my flem immediately went away and I was incredibly clear. Flem has gone away since that day. I was also trying VG around that time so it could of been that. My lungs ached so I stopped. So who knows...

I think that the inconsistent throat hit was from the eliquid I was using. I was getting awesome amounts of vapor but the throat hit and flavor was off and on. I switched to another liquid and everything was constant; vapor, flavor, and throat hit. I nailed the draw on day 2. I watched a lot people vaping before I started so that part was easy. Refilling carts is another thing though. I'm trying dripping now and I think that's the way to go.
