be careful with pushing everclear through the atty.. too long of everclear soak eats away the glue that holds them together.

mine come clean and last over 4 months by.. 2 min soak in everclear.. then run hot water over them few passes through the running faucet, then a dip in everclear just so that they dry faster.. then before using do a dry burn.. hold the atty a few inches from your mouth and blow into it when button is pressed few short times till it glows red fast..

I bought an air pump from Walmart for an aquarium and use it as a sonic cleaner. (The cheaper the better. You want it to vibrate as much as possible.)

I just taped a small container on top to keep it from vibrating off and fill it with my favorite cleaning solution (I use hot water) and let it run for about 15 minutes. Then I repeat with clean water twice, one hot the last cold).

If I'm changing flavors I'll add a bit of Baking Soda to the first wash to pull the old flavor out, then do the 2X wash with clean water.

I've never thought about using baking soda in a cleaning solution..... That's an excellent idea, but how well does it work with "pulling" those flavors out?

I love the waffle juices, but I can never get them to come out! Atleast I don't use menthol!

Seems to work pretty good.

Baking Soda is used as a deodorant. My wife puts open boxes in the refrigerator, in the bathrooms, and here and there to absorb all the odors that collect there. Arm & Hammer makes a box specifically for the refrigerator, it has a fine screen on one side that's exposed when you tear the cardboard away.

Anyway, I figure it can't do any harm and just might pull enough of the old odor out to be worth while.
