My brother convinced me to take the vaping plunge, although he's a non-smoker, I was a pack-a-day-er for just over sixteen years.
Knowing absolutely nothing about them, I honestly didn't think I'd take to it. Google brought me to a Canadian store website and I picked up a 510 starter kit and some liquid that claimed to taste like my preferred brand of analogs. It turns out that a store-branded 510 starter kit shouldn't cost CAD$70, and now that I've seen some other stores, $20 for a 30mL bottle of store-branded juice is also a rip-off. Although I regret spending money for stuff I could have gotten cheaper elsewhere, I'm also happy I did. The kit was easy enough to use, and the juice was close enough to what I was looking for, that I was hooked.
The kit was delivered five weeks ago, four weeks ago I discovered the forum and have been lurking and reading, and most importantly, learning everything I didn't know. Also spending, now that I've discovered a less-expensive supplier with greater selection in a Canadian official ECF-registered company. I'm slowly building up my post count so I can ask for the Canadian suppliers list over in the Canada Forum.
Since the first vapemail arrived, I've upgraded my 280mAh 510 batteries to an eGo 1000mAh, and yesterday took the plunge to a ProVari Mini. I'm excited (and broke, lets not forget broke! Oh, so broke.). Six different orders of hardware and/or juice to a tune of $972, but $100 of that has been taxes and shipping. I may have my tastebuds and sense of smell back, but the cost savings have yet to be realized, even at CAD$13/pack.
