Hello all,

Just wanted to stop by and announce that I have not had a cigarette for five years as of 7/5. I was in Canada for the last week and I can tell you the draw of a nice Cuban cigar was almost too much. I wanted one, but hitting the five year mark was more important to me.

I don't stop by on a regular basis anymore, but when I do, I usually check in on the success stories. It's hard to comment on them all, but here's one for all of you new folks that have made it for a week, a month, a day, whatever. Great job. Everyone here is very proud of and happy for you! Keep it up, please. While a couple of weeks doesn't seem like a lot, time will go by, and you will be at six months, then a year, and then the years go by, much faster than you will believe.

Stick with it, you'll be over cigarettes before you know it.

5 years now eh? Very nice indeed. I feel your pain on the whole Canada Cuban cigars dilemma. Lived in Toronto from birth till late 1998 and used to get Cuban cigars from my brother in law through his job (F&B Manager) doing cigar events.

I fell in love with these cigars until I had to buy them on my own. Cohiba was my favorite and the one I liked was $50 a cigar back in the mid 90's lmao. If you were lucky you could have a friend bring them back from vacation and hope they were real and not the fake ones.

I don't think cigars count anyways. Unless you're smoking them all the time. Next trip to Toronto I may just grab a nice Cuban cigar and a nice cognac and smoke and sip away.

Congrats on the five buddy.
