I've got this 30ml bottle of e-juice, banana flavor. Problem is the flavor is barely noticeable and I don't like vaping it. Meanwhile I am seriously low on cash or I'd place it on shelf and forget about it forever.

So no cash for new juice BUT, I do have some vanilla extract which I noticed is party made of PG.

What do you all think? Can I add vanilla extract to an e-juice without unintended consequences? What else can you do to 'fix' a tasteless vape?

Thanks!

Is there any oil? There may be hints of diacetyl but that is a personal decision for all to make whether to vape or not.

I actually made my first DIY using McCormicks banana as one of the flavors and it came out pretty good.

Do you have access to a Hobby Lobby? Some place that may carry Loranns flavors? Cake decorating/bakery type store? Most are under $2 each.

That is a great idea. Thanks! There's a hobby lobby down the street.

As for the vanilla extract, there's no oil listed (I don't think). Water, pg, artificial flavor, caramel color, and sodium benzoate are the ingredients on that.

The key items to worry about in that list, imo, are "artificial flavor" and "caramel coloring"- artificial flavoring can contain diacetyl, which you do not want to inhale, and caramel color could gunk up your atty or taste burnt.

I'd go with the Lorann's, but check for diacetyl on those too- some have it, others don't. You can check the website to be sure- it's clearly listed as an ingredient there if it has any.

I would use it in a bind. Not on a regular basis but I would use it. Loranns banana is not bad though and may be just what you need.

Some use the tiny amounts of diacetyl contained in some flavorings, some do not. That is a whole other topic though.

The flavors that we use for our ejuice contain artificial flavors and some contain caramel coloring. It is what will clog atties/cartos but in a bind it is better than smoking a cig IMO :)

A lot of the flavors I hunt for are savories, and a lot of those do contain it, along with butter and dairy flavors that I like, so I keep my eyes open for diacetyl free. It isn't proven to be harmful to vapers, but it was harmful to workers exposed to inhaling large quantities of it, so why take chances if you have the option not to?

Sure, but if you have the option to buy an artificial flavor that you know is safe to vape, you won't have to worry about it at all.
