fixing sweetness

Hi there,
I make my own juice from concentrate and I find that i am too wanting sweeter flavours however I do like the tobacco flavours just sweeter so I buy sweetener and it is just sucralose, this is the description of it from Naked Vapour
Used to sweeten other flavours.

Sweetener - I mixed this at 10% with VG and have added one drop of that mixture to other flavors with great success!

This adds a gentle level of sweetness to other flavors, completing them, and also provides multiple points of sweetness on the tongue. It tastes almost like rock candy.

Note: This uses sucralose.

I don't find that it alters the flavour at all other than making it sweeter, I guess like adding a spoon of sugar to a cup of tea.

Hope this helps. Oh just a note, you may find that your taste buds just require a little more sweet than others and I always err on the side of caution when making flavours for others with how sweet I make them as you can add more but not take it out, and I'd guess the vendor has the same thought.

Yeah, I had the same thought. As it is, the flavor comes through as bitter, with a beautiful smell. I've sampled many others, and found that the Tasty Vapor flavors are about perfect. I just want to repair these rather than toss them.

I just ordered some sweetener from Vixen Vapors, and it is ethyl maltol. From my limited knowledge of sweeteners, it gives a more "normal" tasting sweetness, but we'll see. They suggest 1 drop per ml to start with, but I presume that's in a DIY juice. I'll probably test that same ratio in one of my problematic juices, and go from there.

I just had a look at DIY flavour shack and found 3 concentrates that you could try, first is their sugar cream, next is their cotton candy, and lastly Ethyl Maltol. I have flavours with Ethyl maltol in them but I have not tried using it to make flavours sweeter. If you are worried I would try one of the first two and they should do the trick :) Good luck

You should be fine with the ethyl, and I add in to my mixes between 5 - 10 drops of sweetener per 10 mls, but it does depend how sweet the original flavour. Most e liquids are made up at between 10 and 20% flavouring so adding a few drops is not going to change that ratio too much, and a bit of extra flavourings are not going to do you harm (IMO) so long as your nic rate remains correct or lower (by adding flavour in you just lower the nic amount overall a little so you are safe). Stay away from the brown sugar flavour as it does have a distinct flavour and is not as sweet as you'd think, it really alters the taste of things. Hope it goes well, I'd be keen to know how you get on.
