I came across the Flash e-Vapor V2 at Fasttech. It's a clone of a unit out of Germany. The original is said to be quite good.

The Fasttech reviews don't offer much in the way of evaluation.

Has someone any experience with this particular offering?
I watched a review on the real mcoy and found it interesting. ive thought about getting the FT version just out of curiousity! only thing I don't care for is that it has a solid tank, I like a window of some sort ;)

Like yourself, I'd like to see the liquid level. Fasttech also doesn't show other sized screw/airholes, though obviously the ability to remove the one in the body is clear. I'm hoping FT hasn't shown everything they include in their picture.

The video review of the original is good.

I read through the discussions and I'm definitely going to wait awhile on that one. I'm also taking a look at their fatty V3 dripper. It seems to be getting mixed reviews as far the mini juice well but I really like the fact that the air comes up under the coil. Todd has a review on the original.

Sorry for the outtake op, but since I'm looking at both units, I thought I'd mention the fatty as well. :vapor:

so you guys really don't care about the brass terminals ?

I can only speak for myself in saying that I don't mind the brass terminals. But if you do, then by all means stick to your own comfort level. Just because I think they're relatively safe doesn't mean that they are by any means.

I've researched the issue as best I can and read quite a bit of material, and I just don't think temps are high enough to worry about oxides from chrome or aluminum, nor levels high enough to worry about lead from brass terminals.

Here's some more reading on the lead issue in case you're interested, but again, my advice is to go with your own conscientiousness.

I just got one last night locally and not from FT, the build quality is superb, great machining job, no sharp edges like the one the FT is selling. All threads are buttery snooth, it even came with an extra long DT and a plastic middle section for the tank....

Do you know who the manufacturer is? Yours looks like the one in this German vid comparing the genuine to the clone... They're damn near exact (slight differences) from what I watched.

What I have been told by the seller this might be from HCigar...I can't really confirm it but having a few devices from HCigar they make good quality clones...

The HCigar flashi hasn't been released yet, the one you have appears to be the EHPro version. I have the Authentic and the FT clone, both are fantastic atomizers, though the FT clone is not a exact 1:1 clone, the plumbing and dimensions are the same and the build is quit excellent and vapes as good as the Authentic Flashi. The only mod I had to do is drilling out the air hole screw that came with the clone. Once drilled out to 1/16" got it to breathe how I like it. This one damn fine rba/rda, original or clone, one can't go wrong adding the flashi to ones rba collection.

I just got the Tobeco clone and am 100% pleased! Better than my Taifun GT (which I prefer over the kayfun) and super easy to build. This seems like the best clone version as well as you get:
the reg unit
extention of either plastic or SS extra tank
a complete dripper mode!

Came with a silica build, but I swapped to cotton

I may actually go buy this original

Im surprised more people aren't talking about this one (seeing all theKayfun/Russian/Taifun/Ithika, etc talk)

Glad you enjoy the Tobeco clone, had one member have some issue with the wire to the positive post being to small of gauge and hot glued in place. He found this out by noticing the posts were not level and tore it apart to swap out the posts.

I have the original, FT clone and the EHPro clone. All three give stellar Vape. Like having the drip cap, use it for when I try out new builds and testing juice flavors. Can use it on all three versions. Actually like the build quality a tad better of the FT clone over the EHPro. Tighter tolerance on where the tank slides over the build. The EHPro is a bit looser. Possibly changing out the O-rings will tighten it up.

Exactly my thinking. This is just such a stellar rba/rda, that was surprised it was hardly even heard of till the clone came out. I bought the original before it was cloned. Worth every penny. When it was cloned I bought the FT version to compare. Was glad I did, just had to drill out the air hole screw a tad, and she vapes as well as the Authentic. Since then bought the EHPro Flash, which performs quite well too. Appears to be almost 1:1 copy, but comes polished, possibly plated, not sure, where as the original and FT clone are a brushed finish.

Was thinking of getting a Taifun GT, but after your comment about it, will hold off. I also own the Russian and the Aqua, the Flashi is my favorite.

I ordered what I believe to be the clone made from Winsmoke. It looks alot like the kit posted on the last page with the window attachment section. I bought it off of ebay and it should be here tomorrow or friday. Supposedly the brass contacts have been plated as it seems there was concern about that. I will post pictures once it arrives. Cant wait!

Just got one of these from focalecig and I think I killed it. :(

The screw in the positive post (with the rubber insulator around the bottom) was in there REALLY tight and I had to really torque it to get it to back out. I knew as soon as it budged that that wasn't the ONLY thing I'd backed out. The positive terminal would just spin in place, and I discovered (by accident) that I could just pull it straight out.

It looks like it was just soldered in place. Is this something I could remedy with just a simple soldering job?

I've no complaints about the thing otherwise. Seems well built, no burrs on the threads, etc. I'd really like to get this thing going. I don't think it'd be worth the hassle to try to get an RMA out of focal, since (technically) I'M the one who borked the terminal.

Go me.
