I recently got my first order from Ms T (YAAAY!!!) and was wondering about how to prevent flavor contamination. I just found out the spare atty I got w/ my ejoye 510 starter kit is a dud, so I only have one atty at the moment. How can I "clear" the flavor from the atty so I can switch to another flavor? I do have unflavored juice, do I just need to use it for a few days on a clean cart?

I would run some vodka through the atty. Pour some into a small bowl and just scoop some vodka into the atty and let it drain out the battery connection, repeat this several times. Then blow any excess vodka out, blow from the battery end, add a few drops of new flavor and vape. If you have time and can wait, let it soak in the vodka for about an hour for a better result.
I find that several hot water rinses, each followed by blowing it out, works pretty well for me. Alcohol does work better for more clingy flavors.
Some people also vape some plain PG/VG between.

I want to address one problem here, Matt had a solution but you have a different problem. If you told anyone on this site "you have 1 atty" they would cringe and run for a computer. Get more before you do anything else. Attys, cartos get whatever just get em. Here, SR Boge cartos from VaporBeast, 7.22$ shipped for a 5 pack, get 10 at least! Or get 15 of em for 20$ shipped. I've been using straight VG (CVS Pure Glycerin USP) in between flavors. It's cheap ($5 for 6oz) and a few drops puffed (I don't inhale it) between flavors seems to clear an old flavor with out having to re-prime.
I must agree with Tiesel, definitely get some more attys. Unfortunately your going to get a dud here and there so to have multiple back ups is a must.
I'll be buying some more once the funds are available. I do have unflavored juice, guess i'll keep puffing on it a little while longer. Snickerdoodle "leftover" flavor doesnt mix well with pina colada

Would have to agree, I dont see those flavors mixing well together. Then again, you never know till you try

Seriously, I've been surprised so many times that I actually try strange-sounding mixes purposefully, now. I just got done with a strawberry root beer mix that I made because of an interesting transitional taste.More on-topic, I use CE2s almost exclusively these days, and the long wicks usually need more than hot water if I want to clean the slate. I swish them in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes, then rinse them thoroughly with water, blow out (and blot-dry the long wicks,) dry-burn, rinse again, lightly dry-burn just to dry the wicks, vape about 2 drops of plain vg, then refill. That is quicker than it seems in writing, and usually gets almost all of the old flavor out for me.

LOL! I just realised how that reads.... I did my first order from Ms T, and I had read that the unflavored is good for switching between flavors. I really like sweet flavors, especially pina colada. I had read nothing but great reviews for her snickerdoodle, so I got that to try as well, all in the 6ml bottle size. Soon as the RY4 is back in stock ill make my order!
