I made a caramel cappucino that tastes pretty good in the dripper, although I thinks it needs a little this and that. But when I put it in the clearo it's blah. I was really liking it but got tired of dripping, so put it in a clearo for convenience. Then dumped it back in the bottle.

Is there anything that can be done about this or is it just the way it is? Seems like the flavor gets washed out in clearo.

If I use the dripping ato for tasting the juices, it's not giving me an accurate idea of the flavor if it's going to turn around and change when put in something else.:(

Anything I can do about this?

From what I've read here, clearos deliver a muted flavor to one degree or another compared to dripping. With a little more info, someone may be able to make a suggestion.

What battery/mod are you using and is it the same one for both setups?

What is the resistance for each setup and what wattage are you using each at?

Which clearo are you using?

I use a vv passthru at 3.3v with a 510 dripping ato for taste testing. The clearo is CE4S on an eGo. Think they are 2.4 ohm. I'm waiting on a couple more glass tanks, only have one and it holds my predominant flavor that I use all day. (adv).

Guess I'll need to boost the flavor a bit to use in the CE's. That sux, I thought they'd be close at least.

Can you boost your voltage? 3.3v @ 2.4 ohms is only 4.5 watts. That's really low

That's the one that actually tastes good. :) When testing, I do change the voltage to see what makes a difference. The 3.3 w/510 ato tastes best to me for almost all of them, with exception of a dragon fruit mix that I like. Not sure what the ego voltage is. I think either 3.4 or 3.7, isn't it?

And no, the 3.3 is with a 510 dripper, the CE4S are 2.4 ohms on an ego.

Most Ego batteries are 4.2v fully charged but regulated down to a constant 3.3v unless you have the upgrade which allows you to use it at full voltage which could be anywhere between 4.2 and 3.3 depending on the state of charge.

Is it possible your 510 is a lower resistance? 1.8 ohms @ 3.3v = 6 watts and 7.26 watts @ 1.5 ohms. That could be the difference, unless you've tried the ce4 on the passthrough at higher voltages as well? Your posts seem to indicate the ce4 has only been tried on the ego.

The devil's in the details ;)
