Flavor Shots in your E-juice

Is this not the same as just upping the PG content without paying extra for the shot?

its my understanding that PG - Flavor and VG - vapor.

so if I did a 50/50 mix with 1 shot am I just upping the PG %? without paying for the extra "flavor shot"?

PG has nothing to do with flavor.

PG increases throat hit but produces less vapor.
VG produces more vapor but reduces throat hit and mutes flavorings.

Flavors are entirely separate from PG/VG.

It helps carry the flavor along with the TH. The extra shots are for more VG bases or if you just want more of a flavor boost in your juice. Too much can stunt the actual flavor and make the juice chemical/perfumy tasting. Be carful not to throw too much boost to it.
