Newbie here, on day 3 of vaping and not even once have I gotten close to having an analog. Woohoo! e cigs are a life saver, literally!

My apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere but, I would like some suggestions on flavors without a "smokey tobacco layer" to them. My new JC Summer Peach arrived yesterday, a huge improvement from the starter kit carts, but, it still smells a bit like tobacco. I also ordered a large bottle of the Tennesee Cured but, I'm going to return it unopened, I'm really over the tobacco taste and smell.

Are there juices that are true to their flavor, without a touch of tobacco taste? I was thinking an unflavored + Lorran flavorings from TW might be the way to go?

I have Dekang cappuccino, vanilla, apple, coca cola, and RY4 coming from China - Health Cabin but, not arrived yet to test the difference. I only got 10ml of each, just in case.

I think you would be really happy with the Lorann's. I am (so of course I think everyone else should be too;))

Right now I have Butter Rum--it is sooo good!

I do like the tobacco flavors, too, though. I bounce back and forth between tobacco-y and non-tobacco-y. In fact, the TN cured was one of my *least* favorite flavors, and now I love it.

That is a great thing about vaping: you can vape whatever flavor you like.

You want true to flavor juice without the hassle of making your own? Then you want juice from Drew over at Nhaler. I have tried a ton of his flavors in both regular and high voltage and they are all spectacular. When I got my first round of juice from another company I was sorely disappointed. I expected real flavor and sweetness, but it was more a subtle overlay. Then I found Nhaler. Pear Lung - tastes like pears, fresh crisp, sweet pears. Peach eliquid tastes like peaches, slightly tart and yummy. Almond Joy...well umm tastes like you just had a bite from the candy bar - need I say more?

Seriously - get thee directly to Nhaler and I think you will be very pleased. On a super cool note, he offers inexpensive sample sizes of most of his liquids so you can try a ton of em without breaking the bank.

I still have 2 bland tobacco flavor juices and some pre-filled carts with tobacco flavor, also bland. But I have 2 tobacco flavors I really really like.

I've been vaping 6 weeks now and I've bought a lot of different small samples. Ones I have loved include:

Capuccino from LiquidXpress, also their cherry-lime, and chocolate-mint and my free sample of orange that's finished already.
Peach, strawberry, raspberry, champagne, mandarin orange, cherry.
Peanut butter and extra-yum Cinnamon roll from ecigsmokestore (Dawn)
Mocha from Vermont Vapors. And oh, how could I forget their blackberry which I've finished up!

Ones that are ok, especially in mixes: Vanilla, butterscotch, chocolate caramel coffee.

Just ok - Red Bull I go as a free sample, Cocoa Puffs - a chocolate that tastes 'powdery' to me - maybe I'll try it with some vanilla to liven it up.

Ones I don't like - Toasted Toffee, Cheesecake. Both of these have something in common that I really don't like, and it still comes through when I mix them with other things.

I'm also starting to mix my own - I've bought bottles of unflavored high nic juice, no-nic PG and no-nic VG and some Loran's flavorings - I've mixed chocolate hazlenut (a single Loran flavor) and champagne, since I'd finished my sample of it and wanted some more. I also found there's a candy-making supply store on Main Street in the county seat 5 miles from me, so I'll probably go there tomorrow and buy a lot more of the base flavors - they carry Loran's and 2 or 3 other brands at prices about 10 cents more than the e-cig stores I've bought from, but I save on shipping and I have them in my hot little hand right away! (NOT that I'm anywhere near running out of my favorite juices!)

Your mileage may vary, of course!

But I'd also recommend as PhoenixRising dd that you get some small samples of various flavors from some of the many suppliers - watch the threads in the Buying & Selling - E Cigarette Suppliers Forum (last line of the home page) where many suppliers announce special sales/coupons - I've found 'free shipping' specials from some eliquid suppliers along with low price on small sample sizes.

I have never used Vaporstation, so I can't tell you anything about them, but Dietsmokes is great!

If you like a sweet vape, try their Texas Twist from LiquidExpress. If you can't like minty, you can't go wrong with Cool Rush.

They also sell VaporTalk liquids. Dulcis is a nice, sort of caramelly tobacco flavor--like RY4 but not quite the same. I love it. And Mentha is another extremely strong and satifying menthol.

I have never tried the other liquids sold there, but only because they are so popular the flavors I want to try are always sold out:D.

Looks like I might be one of those darned VG types. I've read up on PG allergy elsewhere in the forum. I don't have a sore throat in the am but, it's pretty darned painful during my inhale and exhale all while I vape. It's not that my throat is just dry, I'm a water fiend and always have a cold water bottle by my side.

Also, I just learned my initial carts and juice I used to top off were from Innovapor and they are all VG. This is all I used for my first 2 days vaping. Day 3 my PG arrived, I'd finally burnt off the atty primer and thought I was out of the woods because it finally began to taste better. Now it really hurts to inhale. I can only take a couple of puffs, then have to top off, seems when it's super full, it's not as bad for some reason but, then I end up leaking a bit...oops! I'm back to the non-flavor VG and I can really tell the difference.

I plan on getting some pear from nhaler, dragon fruit from liquidXpress, and flavorings from TW. Looks like I will need a "go to" vendor for my VG moving forward. Any new VG vendor suggestions I should know about?

Here's a silly question....is it safe for me to top off my PG with VG to tone it down until I get new stuff in?

Woohoo 4 days off analogs and counting. This has been way easier than expected, even with the little glitches. This forum is so helpful.

Okay, while it is possible that you are allergic to the PG, it is also a fairly common thing that new vapers get a sore throat when they start vaping. I know I did. It apparently has something to do with the PG's being drying. Make sure you drink plenty of water to keep your throat hydrated.

In the Health folder there should be threads about this.

And yes--you can definitely add VG to PG juice. I always do. The VG makes a lot better vapor:)

Hope your throat feels better soon.

ETA: You apparently already drink water. But I also had irritation at first, it seemed fairly common, and it did go away in a few days. It was just getting used to the PG rather than smoke, at least for me.

I found the culprit! It's the nicotine level and I'd been using high at 18 & 24 mg that shipped with my starter kit. Last night I switched to a clean cart and atty with a free sample of zero nic from JC and for the first time since my "quit" 6 days ago, I had a pleasant inhale and exhale, no stinging of my tongue and throat. NOW I see the light!

I made the mistake of going for too-high nicotine when I started, too, Holly. I think we all do:).

For most juice now, I almost always cut it down with VG and some Lorann's (if cutting it takes the taste away too much), and maybe a bit of plain PG.

Sort of makes it "the fun part" to fix them like you want them:D.

JuicyLiquid and LiquidXpress sell flavorings, too.
