Flavor suggestions?

I'm in the Charlotte area, so I'd love to find some more flavors I like from mad vapes. It's nice and convenient to be able to just stop by and pick some up instead of ordering online from other places and waiting days/weeks.

But my success rate isn't very good. For whatever reason, I find a lot of the TopVapor stuff to have a soap/perfume/chemical taste.
I really like:
Cheesecake, Irish Mintz, Kona Cream.
I hated:
Raspberry, Lemon Blueberry Cotton Candy, Mojito, Cantaloupe, Clove, Pumpkin Pie

This is a little odd because I generally like fruit flavors. My absolute favorites from other vendors are Blackberry from BWB (no longer carried) and Cinful Pear and Just Peachy from HHV.

Any reason why I would like fruit flavors, but not with the Top Vapor liquids?

Any suggestions for other stuff to try from mad vapes, based on my list of what I liked and didn't?

The new line of liquid, Lion Head, is really good. For Top Vapor, if you liked Kona cream, you may also like Maple Cream, Vanilla Cream, or Caramel Cream. Cheesecake is really good for mixing with other flavors. 90% Cheesecake, 10% Blueberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, or really any fruit flavor is awesome. My personal favorite from the Top Vapor line is a mix of 95% Cheesecake, 5% Cinnibiscus. On it's own, Cinnibiscus is too light and flowery. But the cheesecake smooths it out and adds a creamy boldness to the cinnibiscus and they balance out really well. Cinnabiscus is really strong, so you really don't want to add more than 5%, which is just a few drops. For just a straight-up fruit flavor, Papaya is hands-down the best. It's perfectly clear, so it won't gunk up your coils hardly at all. It's very smooth and produces a lot of vapor. Real papayas are stinky for some reason (yes, literally, they stink when you smell them.) But the juice is not stinky hardly at all. Mango is very similar to Papaya, but I prefer Papaya. If you're looking for a melon flavor, Honeydew is much better than cantaloupe, but that's just my opinion.

The reason you may not like the Top Vapor fruit flavors is because they are ethanol-based extracts. It can give the liquid a harsh, chemically, soapy or perfumy taste. My recommendation would be to take the cap off the bottle and let it sit for a week or two. This allows the alcohol to evaporate and makes it less harsh. That's the reason I like Papaya so much; it doesn't have the harshness that a lot of the other fruit flavors have, and it's also the reason Cheesecake mixes so well with them. The cheesecake smooths it out and "replaces" the perfumy taste with a creamy taste if you mix it right.

Also, all the liquids are developed and tested at 0mg nicotine. So the throat hit might be good at 0 nic, but when you add any amount of nicotine to it, the throat hit becomes too harsh for some people.

If you go into any of our retail stores and ask for Blackberry Cheesecake, they'll know how to make it. That mix in particular has been very popular. You can also get unflavored PG and VG and dillute the mix, or ask whomever is at the store to do it for you, if the flavor is just too strong.

Hi! I recently ordered your hazelnut extract a few weeks ago. It has an alcohol taste to it. It smeels like alcohol so much that I cannot smell the hazelnut flavor. It literally smells likesomeone dropped liquor in it. Lol So, if I take the cap off for a couple weeks will the alcohol smell and taste go away? I love hazelnut eliquids! I bought the extract to mix with some mocha that I have, because I like mocha hazelnut mix. For XMAS I received a 4oz bottle of mocha from a different vendor. I am not complaining, I just want to know what I should do? :) Thanks a bunch in advance! I love your company! Madvapes has the best customer service I have ever experienced. :)

The extract is not meant to be vaped as-is, which is why it smells so strong. You need to dilute it in PG/VG. You don't need much, usually only 10-25 percent of the final product is extract. So if you try to steep the extract, no, the alcohol taste will not go away, because it's mostly alcohol to begin with.

What I would recommend doing is if you want to add extract to e-liquid, start with 2 drops per 10mL of liquid and see how it tastes, then add 1 drop per 10mL after that as needed.

I don't really DIY my own juice, so that's really all I can tell you. =/

I have noticed though that when I let the mix steep the alcohol taste went away and smell went down. Surely there is not someone out there that would try to vape the extract by itself?

There are some people who have tried, believe it or not. You said that you ordered hazlenut extract and it smelled like alcohol, which it would, so I just wanted to make sure you weren't trying to vape it straight. Steeping will help with the alcohol taste. I've found that a lot of the nutty and rum extracts smell the most like alcohol. Maybe try using more VG in the base. The alcohol will thin out the final product, so it shouldn't be too thick, and it will make for a smoother vape. Also, our hazlenut isn't very strong, from what I remember, so you may have added too much extract trying to get a stronger flavor? Honestly, you probably know more than I do about making liquid . If it were me, I'd use more VG than PG, use about 15-20 percent extract, and let it steep with the cap off.

Lol I inow that I should not laugh, but that is too funny! I bet that was nasty, vaping extract by itself! Lol I think the problem is that it is not strong enough, and I added too much extract! Actually I know nothing about making eliquid! Lol Thanks a bunch! I am a huge fan of Madvapes, and Madvapes is my only vendor for everything but eliquids! I have two vendors only, and madvapes is one of those two! Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Also, from my experience in DIY, less is more. Adding more extract to the mix won't always get you a stronger flavor, especially when you get to the 20-25% range. There may physically be more flavor in the mix, but your tastebuds go into sensory overload and just don't taste anything past a certain point. So sometimes, reducing the amount of extract will get you a stronger flavor. Again, this is from my limited experience so it could be different with different extracts, PG/VG, etc.

I difinitly agree with you! Thanks a bunch! See I have some Mocha 70PG/30VG 6mg nicotine, and I added some of the hazelnut extract to it. Every now and then I would get a hazelnut taste, but I know I put too much in it! Lol It smells like alcohol, and it has a strong taste of I really do not know! Lol The good thing I experimented with less than 30ml. I think it was like 15 to 20 ml. I need to try again sometime, or I could add a little mocha to it, to see if it levels out. Do you think that would work?
You are welcome! I just ordered some stuff yesterday! I am sooooooooo excited to get it! I can barely wait! I wish that I could teleport and pick it up at your location! Lol Your shipping is so fast, I love it!

You guys should have a peanutbutter flavor. Would also be good with chocolate. I live in Raleigh and it's cool to be able to order from you guys on Mpnday and get my order by the weekend. Just started ordering juice from you and so far so good!

You should try their Lions Head Prides Treat. It's a chocolate and peanutbutter butter mix. It's sooooo good.
