hey everyone, I just got a sample flavor from a website (that I found from the forums here) Everyone said the flavor tasted like this or that (there isn't a description of the flavor yet) but every time I take a puff all I taste is campfire... I've tried dripping, filling a new cart, and either way it just tastes like campfire. Now I haven't tried a "Flavor" yet except menthol so I'm wondering when I order flavors that say "Apple" will it taste like apple? or will it be a kinda apply taste... I'm just confused because this is obviously campfire, lol.
Flavor tastes nothing like the reviews?

Hmm. If you smell the bottle itself and its like campfire please sent it to me because that's a flavor I'd like!!!

; well the bottle smells like.... hmmm.... exactly what people said cake mix vanilla i believe. i'm sad now i'm starting to think it's because my taste buds are shot from smoking. but i'll look up how to clean my atomizer now.
If it is a hand mixed flavor you need to let it age a bit. I have had flavors that were not so good when they just got here, but after a week were awesome.

It was a free sample from VaporNine, I don't want anyone to think that they did something wrong. I'm new and I was a heavy smoker that stopped just days ago so I'm sure it's user error as many people felt this flavor tasted like cake mix or something to that extent. I'm just trying to figure out what my issue is. And I do thank VN for the free sample came really quick!
Taste is so subjective. I recently bought some Coconut Cream that everyone was raving about... I didn't taste any coconut. I tasted almonds, but no coconut.
I do have an apple flavor that everyone was saying tasted just like Jolly Rancher Green Apple... and to me, it does. Spot on there. Problem is, I found out that I really didn't wanna vape Green Apple.
I tried another vendor, and they had several interesting flavors... good prices... so I picked up a sample pack. I saw a few posts raving about the flavors, and out of the samples I bought, I didn't find a single one of them "vape-able". The worst of the bunch tasted like burning tires with a hint of lime. Another one tasted like rubber bands and honey...
Also, a flavor that tastes great at 3.7v might not taste so good at 5v or 6v. Other factors, such as how wet you keep your atty and cartomizers vs carts vs dripping also have an effect.
When I was newer, I tried to find reviewers or members who used the same equipment I used, vaped at the same voltage, and had a preference to flavors I enjoyed. That helped a bit.

V9 juices do need to age a little. I got a sample from them that was ok, but after a while I tried it again and loved it.
Also for the first few weeks everything tasted "off" to me. Did you blow out your atty first?
I stuck with atomic cinnacide for the first week because it was the only thing I could taste.

I have found in general I am not a flavor hound , but I still keep trying. I was always thinking I would be stuck with tobacco flavors. I have gotten tired of my tobacco flavors , menthol mainly and been trying new flavors again. They taste different now then they did before. Flavors I thought tasted like yuck are not so yucky anymore. It could be the juice aging process or just the taste buds taking a break. I would say wait a few days and try it again with a clean atty or carto, if it is still camp fire then maybe you just don't like that flavor.
I have one flavor I ordered last year that was like cough syrup. I was completely disgusted especially considering the price I paid. It had been sitting for about 3 months LOL and I tried it again and voila not cough syrup anymore.

Thanks for the help, I blew out the atty and tried again still the same. I'm going to put it away and try again next week or maybe even the week after. I have my eGo kit comming this week so i'll have some good equip to try new flavors out on not this crap healthy cig thing.
just wanted to throw this update in there I cleaned the atomizer by blowing it out and wiping it down w/ a clean cloth. let it sit for a bit then put back on the new cart. After bout 30 mins of vapping the new flavor I can taste it comming through sweet and delicious now. I think it will get even better as the night goes on Yay!
