Here is a good post that contains a spread sheet of what is safe/not safe to use.

Had a bit of sparetime on my hands and decided to put this spreadsheet together. It can definitely be expanded upon, however I just wanted to be able to see who has what without having to navigate each site and/or go through several threads here, every time.

It lists most (if not ALL) flavorings from:
Perfumers Apprentice, LorAnn, FlavourArt, Capella, Bickford, Faerie's Finest, and Tasty Puff.

I've highlighted certain flavors that are oil-based or have one or more ingredients some vapors disapprove of. The spreadsheet is still a work in progress and I'll continue to update it, with the intended use being to host it on my server in a php/mysql (DB) manner.

Anyone that would like to contribute/edit, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send an invite. Or if you have any ideas to expand upon, I'd love to hear'em.

Happy DIY Vapin! :toast:

So just the ones that are yellow are no good to use or all of the ones with a X are no good?

Well,I would read between the lines and say that the yellow ones could be used as a 2nd or 3rd flavor but not recommended as a lone flavor.

Did I get this right?

I have used Lorann, Perfumers Apprentice, Flavour Art, Essence and Capella flavoring ... for the most part I do not like anything of Lorann except Natural Flavored Pear. Lorann is very chemically and the flavors are "empty" tasting with a heavy top note and no middle or bottom notes in the flavor.

Perfumers Apprentice have some really good flavors, and some total misses .. I like their banana, pineapple, pecan, cinnamon danish, m-type tobacco, blueberry, french vanilla and sweet cream.

Flavour Art flavors have alot of perfumeyness to them which I don't like ... but I hear that some of their tobacco flavors are good. I have bought and mixed some Latakia tobacco but have yet to sample it.

I like just about every Capella flavor I have ever tried (approx 14 flavors) and the one thing I love the most about Capella flavors is the lack of chemical or perfumey tastes in their flavorants. I have mixed flavors too strong, yet there was still no chemical taste. My favs are Sweet Strawberry, Coconut, Cinna Danish ...

If you want to sample flavors before buying full sizes, then I suggest Happy Vaper which carries all of the above mentioned brands ... overpriced but I guess that is the cost of canadian convenience. When you find the flavors and don't mind waiting on shipping, then buy the stuff you really like direct Perfumers or Capellas.

Happy Holidays!

Ok so I am gonna throw in my 2 cents as a fairly experienced vaper. First things first. Doesn't mix or emulsify / dilute with water isn"t a concern. Your not mixing in water. Most oils work fine in DIY but "safety first" don't use anything using Diacetyl. The low amounts of flavoring used can and will not affect your coil. Coils are coils they all work the same way. What I mean is regardless of what you heat with them they are only as good as their weakest link. Bad coils burnout prematurely and Amazing coils last longer than normal. A cartomizer lasts as long as it lasts. Regardles whether you baby it or beat it. Same goes for Atomizers, some people take long drags at high voltage some short drags at low voltage. Just find what tastes good to you and then quit chasing the elusive dragon, that is the "perfect" vape. Everyones tastebuds and heat preferences are different. There is no perfect Vape. There is only your satisfaction. When your satisfied just stay satisfied and quit reading everyone elses hype and opinions . Then you'll be able to either buy or mix your own wonderful and favourite flavours and enjoy them for what they are ( the thing that got you away from those other smelly expensive things). Ok I'm done now lol. Happy Vaping and and Holidays everyone. :D
