Flavors that taste nothing like they smell?

Maybe I'm doing this wrong.

I'm using a KGO battery and Vision cartomizer. I've tried several flavors but none taste anything like they smell. It's as if the atomizer is burning the juice, making it taste like ashes. The button only gets pressed for a second or two.

The only time I can actually taste anything is blowing into the tip first while holding the button, then inhaling. Even then it's barely discernible.

I haven't tried any other vendors, maybe it's just this one?

It's the hardware, not the software. You will have to look into getting some different cartomizers (I hate actually saying that). What are the cartos you are using supposed to be rated? What juices are you using?

Try not to stress too much--we all have had issues at one point or another. Help is on its way.

I bought four of them. The award winning Kona Coffee Milkshake...tastes anything but. Pretty disappointed especially reading all these posts about wonderful flavors people are enjoying.

Have you tried any other cartomizers? How long have you been doing this?

Virgin Vapors juices are probably too delicate for such a low ohm carto (i.e., your total wattage is too high. You are burning your juice!)

Another thing about Virgin Vapor juices: they really, really need to steep (say a month) for most people to enjoy them. (If your VV juices are from Annette's original line, they have an ethyl alcohol base which needs to evaporate away -- try keeping them upcapped for about 48 hours, and continue steeping for at least a couple of weeks.)

So you think the wattage is too high for those flavors/vendor, or period? My K-go (though I never liked it) did fine with lr-sr ohms. But then again, I was using juices that were more brutish.

Yes, I really do. Perhaps not all of Virgin Vapor's juices, but definitely a lot of them "work" better at lower temperatures -- especially her infamous KCM, and most likely all her florals.

If a juice doesn't taste right, I email the vendor and ask them what hardware they use for testing and what they recommend for the best experience with their juices. They've already found the right voltage/resistance combo and design their juices around it.

You might try a drip atomizer with a drip tip for testing juices. A LR (1.5 ohm) and a standard 2.5 ohm would be a good start. You also might like the eGo Twist variable voltage battery for finding the best voltage for a juice.

They're rated at 2.2 ohms. These are Virgin Vapor juices, 12mg.
Dunno about those juices, but I got 2.0 ohm cartos with my kGo and hated it. I wish I had gotten 2.8, or, what the veterans *told* me to get, which was 3.0 ohms. I read somewhere that the kGo comes off the charger at 4.2 volts. Watts = (volts X volts)/ohms,
and the sweet spot for many juices is 5-8 ohms, though there are so-called "high voltage" vapers that vape at higher watts, even in the range that is supposed to be a little dangerous for batteries, like 9-10 watts.

I would guess you either need juices recommended on a thread about "high-voltage" vaping or else more resistance until the kGo has been half-discharged. I think I read that the low range for the kGo (near time to charge again) is in the mid-to-low 3's range.
