I have a bunch of Lorann flavorings but I do not use them alone. They all seem to taste like chemicals to me. When I mix them with flavorings from other companies, they are fine.

I also have Capella flavorings which I do use alone and love them. So far the only Capella that I do not like solo is pina colada. I need to tweak my recipe because it is either to weak or needs something.

Success Alone:
Capella
Vanilla Custard
Pumpkin Pie
Egg Nog
Caramel
Milk Chocolate Toffee
French Toast
Orange Creamsicle
Hot Cinnamon Candy
Have a bunch more unopened
Failure Even Mixed:
Lorann
Apple (just gross)
Cherry (once again just gross)

How is the Capella's hot cinnamon candy? I want to get a hot cinnamon flavor and wonder if it's a good one to get?

made a raspberry lemon aid last night.. that came out pretty good..

loranns lemonaid + cotton candy + raspberry

I might try this once my sweetener stuff gets here. I don't have the lemonade flavor, but I do have a lemon flavor oil which is very potent.

I LOVE raspberry, but I don't like Loranns rasp. mixed with the cheesecake...don't like the cherry either (tastes like cough syrup). I LOVE the blueberry mixed with the cheesecake though. I DO like rasp. lemonade though, so I'll hang on to the rasp. flavoring for now. Thanks for the idea.

As far as the hot cinnamon candy, anyone know which is better, Capella's or Perfumer's Apprentice?

Also, I tried to make clove using Flavourart with no success. I couldn't taste it no matter how much flavoring I put in. I also tried to add black pepper to spice it up, but I could hardly taste that, either. So far, I'm not having as much success with the non-tobacco flavors. I've tried fresh fig, tahitian vanilla, and black cherry and I'm hardly getting any flavor. That bums me out because they are supposed to be super concentrated! I know I like stuff strong, but I can definitely taste the Capella's mixes I made. Hmmmm.......

Let them age for a few days, then try them again. I guarantee the taste will be stronger and better developed.

Success:

Loranns Butter Rum, Cheesecake, Blueberry, Champagne, Peach, Blackberry, Keoke Coffee, English Toffee, Pralines & Cream, Bavarian Cream. Though I find the darker Lorann's do gunk up my atty's sometimes.

Just ordered a bunch from Happy Vaper...so far the Perique Black (tobacco) and Pumkpin Pie spice are both amazing, alone and mixed together! Think they are both FlavourArt.
