I've been mixing my new collection of Flavour Art flavors and finding them consistently true to their name, excellent flavors without weird chemical notes or bad aftertastes - until this one!

The bottle doesn't smell like blackberry, which tipped me off. It's an oddly muted unripe fruit scent that smells very much like cheap shampoo. I tried a couple drops in plain water (not vaped, just tasted) and it tasted like shampoo. I had a non-vaper taste the flavored water and got a wrinkled-nose reaction, said it tastes like dishwashing liquid.

I figured maybe it vapes a different flavor, but noooo. After playing with percentages from 1-15, trying various sweeteners, creams, vanillas, other fruits, I came to the conclusion this flavor is just a total miss. It makes a lot of vapor...vaguely shampoo-scented.

All other FA flavors I've tried smell and taste just like the flavor name. I mean, you may not personally care for torrone, but their flavor with that name is indeed that flavor. that's where taste is subjective. Some are not sweet enough for my taste, also a subjective thing. But this is simply NOT a blackberry flavor, nothing "subjective" about it.

How can a company that makes so many great flavors also produce (and apparently continue to sell) such a dud? It's not even decent for flavoring coffee.

Thanks for the heads up on the Blackberry. I know I was surprised when I smelled Flavored Apprentice's Blackberry, or Wild Blackberry. It seemed off to me but I figured what do I know about blackberries in the wild. It doesn't smell like shampoo that's for sure. It does smell like a berry and taste pretty good. I think I'd like a blackberry over a wild blackberry though. Good luck with your next blackberry purchase....have you checked to see if yours makes bubbles, LOL jk

Flavor apprentice does have a lot of floral tones in their flavorings, when you make a juice with it, add a drop or 2 of sweetener and let it steep with the cap off. The floral notes will evaporate leaving you with a pleasant vape. I enjoy it after about a week of steeping. (I also added some champagne flavoring to it...YUMMM!)
