Menthol crystals or just regular menthol flavourings?
It is unclear whether menthol in some form or the other is dangerous. What I know is that at the base, it is toxic, but still used in the respiratory tract. By cons, the concentration used and the heat produced by the atomizer could create a potential alteration in the bronchi. I'm not a specialist in this area, but I think it's better to be cautious m ^ me with several flavors in E Liquids. Prevention is better than having to seek treatment for a pulmonire problem we could have done. Here. :w00t:

Adding menthol to a green apple can make it a VERY nice vape. My favorite juice is an apple menthol (Bamskilicious Kool Apple). I also make my own but it isn't even close to the same flavor, although still quite nice. I do a 12% Lorann's green apple with 1.5% menthol. A few drops of sweetener and it is not bad at all. the menthol I use is some I made with menthol crystals dissolved in PG.

Water is toxic if you drink enough of it.

The toxicity is in the dosage. A fatal dose is considered a MINIMUM of 50mg per 1kg of weight, so if you weighed 180lbs that would be 81.6kg, which would mean you would have to consume at LEAST 4kg (8.8lbs) of pure menthol to die. The amounts you're going to run into while vaping is less than you would get from smearing Vicks Vapor Rub on your chest if you had a cold.

Menthol itself is usually extracted from peppermint.

To the OP...

Can you not order menthol crystals from the internet? They're cheap, usually around $5 for 20 grams which is enough to make 30ml of strong menthol concentrate. It's commonly sold for aromatherapy use and I'm not aware of anyplace that has bans on it.

Also what green apple are you using? Example: TFA "green apple" has a certain taste, TFA "tart (Granny Smith) apple" is completely different, and that doesn't even account for other manufacturers lol. I know you said you can't post out of this subforum yet but you should be able to read on others.. check in DIY subforum and run a search on whatever exact name your flavor is, bet you'll find some good tips & thoughts/observations from the masters ;-)
